Both look good, shame about the Victor wing fit though.
Just needs a little tweaking. Cut and shut..... :whistle

Regardless of the misaligned wing, they both look great.

Got the wing sorted. Had to split the lower joint and reposition the whole assembly in the fuselage, then glue and fill.

And the first shot of them all together.....

Decided, for ease, I'm going to do the Valiant in Operation Grapple colours (completely white), and the Victor is to be 139 Sqn. I wanted to do 100 Sqn, but it has the earlier fin root intake, which I can't find any decent pictures of.

Yes, definitely. These should be finished by then. Going to speak to my mate Dave, to see if he can make me some display bases for them.

Started putting the decals on the Valiant. The tail fin flash has to go over the vortex generators, so takes a lot of softening to get it to sit down. I really need to get some better softener...

As you can see, I have "copped out" of painting the radome etc and opted for the Operation Grapple aircraft which is all over white.

Very much so. In 6 years of working on XL231 I learned that the hard way! They were all hand made and, as such, access panels etc. were specific to that airframe and infrequently fitted another jet without some major remodelling. I have a perspex wingtip light fairing at home which we went to fit on 231. IIRC it came off XL190 when she was scrapped. It was shorter than the one we were replacing, by a matter of several inches! Interchangeable part my@rse...
