Yay!!!!! At last, something went right. Managed to get the decals on with no drama. In fact, they went on a dream

So....not content with being a nightmare build, I've had another spanner thrown in the works. A guy I work with was going to build me some very nice "V" bases to mount the aircraft on. Unfortunately, he had a few problems, and gave up.....
Which leaves me 4 days to find an alternative! I have a plan, but I won't say anymore until I know for sure....fingers crossed!

Cheers. I have a Plan B and a Plan C. If I get to Plan D, I'll start getting worried!

Having g beaten the victor onto submission, it's time to think about the details. There are still a lot of little bits that need doing on all 3 aircraft, but nothing that should take too long.
I'm still working on the base conundrum, but I feel confident I'll have something holding them off the table on Saturday.

OK. ....We're up to plan E!

Before I explain plan England, I'll explain.
Plan A. Bespoke "V" shaped wooden bases, made by my work colleague. No, he let me down.
Plan B. Use some old aircraft boxes, from our local surplus shop. No. Everything either too big or small..
Plan C. Make my own. No. I'm crap at woodwork.
Plan D. Buy some plinths from a trophy shop. No. Ones that are big enough aeration aren't deep enough and vice versa.
Plan E. A hybrid. Use the plinth that has the surface area to keep the aircraft stable, with the aircraft box mounted on top into which the acrylic rod is mounted.

Sounds complicated, and it is.....
No pictures as yet, as I don't pick up the plinths till tomorrow. Talk about getting down to the wire!

Alll I can say is, thankfully (hopefully) everything else is ready to go.
