Thanks guys. I've done some highlighting and shading of the base colour and added the tools. I'm not going to give this a heavy weathering as they do seem to have been well kept. ![]() ![]() Wheels painted. ![]() Heres the vinyl searchlight cable just sat in place. Its pretty nice and I'm sure when glued in place would be a good representation of the real thing. I just don't like vinyl pieces. They can be a pain to glue and paint. Ultimately, I'm going to replace it with some copper wire. ![]() |

very nice, do you paint most of your tanks with tracks and wheels off? |

Thanks Mark. Yeah, I find it easier to paint the tyres and weather in around the suspension. |

In the interests of completeness here are the kit supplied tow cables in position.![]() The cable strands are nicely moulded and the attachment points are also moulded onto the cable. It is fairly taut when in place which will stop them curling into strange positions. The decals, for all there are, are nicely printed and in register. They are ever so slightly on the thick side, but went on easy and settled down very well. I'm calling this one finished: ![]() I didn't over do the weathering, just some light chipping and a little pastels around the wheels and tracks. It was sprayed with a satin varnish as these tanks were commonly seen with a sheen to them. All in all, this is a lovely kit. There are a few fiddly bits and plenty of seams to remove on even the small parts. But this is offset by the finished kit. I wouldn't be surprised if Revell released some of the A1 variants (A1A1, A1A2) It wouldn't take much, such as side skirts, additional turret armour, thermal sleeved main gun, etc. If they do, I'll definitely be line line to get them. Thanks again to Revell Germany and Mark for the review kit. More pics in the gallery.

Very nice. For some reason I always paint the wheels of vehicles when they're in place and struggle, yet when I do aircraft I leave them off and paint them because it's easier. I really should get my act together.
