This will be my first GB on MMM and I'm anxious to begin. Eduard are one of my favorite companies. This kit includes PS, PE, resin, and two sets of decals for making one of four jets. I am still undecided as to which markings I will select. But I have narrowed it down to either the No. 111 Squadron 1962, or the No. 56 Squadron 1963, Firebirds Aerobatics team. This should prove to be a challenging build for me. One of my weak areas in modelling is creating a seamless join without losing surface detail. This kit will also afford the opportunity to create a natural metal finish on most of the fuselage. Time to get started!

Cheers Mac.

The cockpit is, for the most part, complete. I only need add the rudder pedals. The aft instrument panels/bulkheads may need some adjustment before placing the cockpit inside the fuselage.

Next up is the intake and power plant, such as it is. Still, there is opportunity for a good result. Eduard supplied PE for the front wheel bay and jet engine. With any luck, it will all be visible after it's all been buttoned up.

Whilst test fitting the various parts that will go inside the fuselage I have experienced many issues with fitting everything together. I was surprised that Eduard kits would have such issues. Then I noticed the inside of the starboard fuselage half. Hey, hey, this will be my first Airfix kit then.

I have really missed being away from the bench. But now I should have plenty of time for my current projects.
After adding some weight to the fore end, it's time to button up the fuselage. Eduard supplies some very interesting PE. In this instance, for the cockpit instrumentation.

Cheers Derek. I'm glad to be back at the bench.
Next in line is prepping the wings and tail. Again, Eduard has provided some nice PE for the wheel wells. Both wings have a bit of warp along the outer edges. Some careful cementing should take care of things.
