Hello again chaps. I've not been around much lately as photography is maxing me out. I've got plenty of stuff i'd like to share with you but for now i'll stick to some of the recent going ons at Lakenheath.

I tried on 4 occasions to see the Raptors after they arrived and finally saw them on trips 3 and 4. Hopefully i'll get to get in some more shots before they leave but with 4 overseas aviation trips coming up I doubt i'l be able to budget it and factor it into my leave.

14 April. This was a media day yet despite this they didn't fly any Raptors. They did however have a Typhoon T3 fly in for the photoshoot (cause we couldn't send a FGR4 and instead sent a trainer...), the Eagles flew some simulated high altitude CAS missions for the benefit of the media and 2 para drops took place.

15 April. I had a couple of hours to spare in the morning before going to the Mid Suffolk Railway for a photo charter. The Raptors were meant to go up at 8:30 but cancelled due to the weather.

17 April. Finally on the Sunday I got to see my first airborne Raptor when 4 flew in directly from the States.

20 April. On the Wednesday afternoon I was able to get back to the Heath to catch the evening ACM launches of the Raptors and Eagles. When they returned, everyone stayed in the car park as "that's where the light is", but I thought differently and went for a more 'interesting' angle.

Double awesome, I think that the Raptor is such a good looking aircraft and to think I sold my 1/48th kit.
