Humber Super Snipe, Airfix, 1/32nd scale

Monty's Humber

this was new tool back in 1973......i can remember doing it at some point in the late 70s and its been on my list of wanting another go at for nostalgia reasons ever since i took up this modelmaking lark again

at least i shouldnt have to weather this one up since cos its Monty's motor it would have been kept immaculate lol

Cool project. I did Rommel'so half track 'Greif' back when I was 11, and have often thought of doing another.
This might inspire me.

exactly!

although back then i can remember Revell doing 1/32 aircraft (have memories of doing a tropical Hurricane) perhaps they hoped that scale would take off?

I suppose it has something to do with the fact that 1/32 is a "car" scale. There are quite a few car model kits in 1/32.

well, 1/32 is the scale of Scalextrix......was that part of the same Group that Airfix was in may back then?
