During June I visited Konya, Turkey for Exercise Anatolian Eagle. This year the exercises fast jet participants included multiple squadrons of Turkish F-16s, Turkish Phantoms, Pakistani F-16s as well as Italian and Saudi Tornado's. Airborne command and control was provided by E-3As of the NATO E-3A Component and a Turkish E-7A Wedgetail. The Royal Netherlands Air Force also attended and provided a single KDC-10 Extender. The Turks also provided UH-1 and AS532 for rotary support.

Unfortunately during the 2 days I was there the Saudis stayed firmly planted on Terra Firma and didn't take part in the final missions. We did however get a few different supporting aircraft in on the Thursday including a Turkish A400M, Pakistani C-130 and Saudi A330-202MRTT.

Here's a selection of shots from the exercise;

Thanks, Canon EOS 700D with a Sigma 150-500mm lens. I also have a 18-250mm but its not as fast as the 500mm and the shots come out soft. A lot of what I posted in the Lakenheath thread this morning was done with the short and it shows in some pics. I learnt at Tiger Meet to stick with the big lens!
