Welcome to Mano Elite. Most of us here are from Mano or KBBL, so this is gonna be an easy transition into Mano Elite. There will be a few differences in this league, which will be easier for the guys from Inside Curve or the 20 Man league. 1- The Rosters will remain at 40, however it will consist of a 30 Man MLB roster, and a 10 Man Farm System. 30-Man Roster with the cap of $375 (which is the equivalent of 40/$500 from Mano/KBBL) Nothing is changing here, just less contracts. You can still have prospects on 30 Man roster. 10-Man Farm System ANY player with under 150ABs or 50 IPs is considered a prospect and therefore eligible for the Farm System. Once a player eclipses the minimum of 150/50 they will graduate and receive a contract of 3/*5. That team then has to make a move for him to be on the 30 man roster, whether it by releasing a player, making a trade, or simply rejecting the contract of the graduating prospect. While prospects are on the Farm they will not have a contract, they will NOT have a contract until the minimum has been met. 2-Of the 10 teams not selected we will be having 2 separate drafts, a MLB Draft and a MiLB Draft. MLB Draft will consist of MLB players that have met the minimum of 150 ABs or 50 IPs. There will be a file of available players. The number you see beside each player is the salary that player is going to be paid, so draft wisely. This Draft will be 6 Rounds (subject to change) MiLB Draft will consist of ANY player under the minimum of 150/50. Their will also be a file, of the high end specs. This Draft will be 5 Rounds. Since we are having 2 separate drafts the draft order will be random, Jake will use a randomizer to come up with the order, each draft will be snake. MLB Draft and MiLB draft will be reverse order, so if you have pick #1 in the MLB Draft you will have pick #20 in the MiLB draft. 3- Prospects Prospects will only be available via the MiLB draft that will occur each year, this is the only way to make the Farm System relevant. Hold your picks as they will be more valuable before as the MiLB draft will not only include the past years draft class but any prospect not on a farm system or signed to a contract. There will be a spreadsheet available that make it easy to track who is and who isn't available. 4- Contracts Once we have completed both drafts, each team will have to hand out contracts to the 30 Players it intends to keep. You can keep any 30 as long as you remain at or under the $375 salary cap. You MUST have 30 Players at all times. You will be given the following to hand out: (Subject to change) 3-5 year contracts 3-4 year contracts 8-3 year contracts 8-2 year contracts 8-1 year contracts ********IMPORTANT********* When assigning contracts to players: Any player with a salary of $4 or more is eligible for 4-5 year deals. Any player with a salary of $3 or less is eligible for 1-3 year deals. This is to level the playing field sooner rather than later. ****************************** For Free Agent signings the contracts will go as follows: Any player with a salary of $3 or more is eligible for any contract length. Any player with a salary of $2 or lower is eligible for a contract of 1-3 years. You may have prospects on your 30 Man Roster, as long as you can field a roster on the Yahoo site. This league will be ran thru Yahoo Sports. 5. Any potential Free Agent as if 2/21/16 goes in the draft, even if it signs with one of the 20 teams taken. I will be adding more to this as it comes to my head. ALSO please feel free to respond in this thread with any questions you may have. Edited by T-Town, Feb 22 2016, 10:01 AM.
