Made on the old Pimp My Gun

Production Start Year: 1922

Production End Year: 1985 [Sparse Production continues for special orders from the government]

Total Produced:

260,000 (~8,500 are the original models without the cooling system, virtually useless off Thysera)

Manufacturer/Designer: Nysala Vymok - Vymok Heavy Industry (later became the Vymok Design Bureau)

Operator:

Erineos Queendom - While officially out of service, the Vymok Revolver is still highly popular. It is an approved personal purchase sidearm for members of the Armed Forces. It is still commonly issued to police forces under the Committee for State Security. The original models are held in reserve by the Army.

Moderate on the Military Surplus market

Rate of Fire (ROF): Varies on the user's skill with a revolver

Modular Casing: No

Features: Slow but powerful round, laser sight, break open

Materials: Steel frame and other parts, but polymer grip

Production Cost: 500 (in 1922), 740 (in 1930 with new cooling system)

Advantages:

Low Maintenance

Simple (can be used with little training)

Quick to produce

Fatal to unarmored targets

Laser Sight

Quick to reload thanks to the break open feature

Disadvantages:

Outclassed by modern pistols due to its 7 round chamber, and the fact that it's a revolver

Heavier Recoil (Think .44 Magnum revolver recoil for ME)

Ammo has to be carried in speed loaders or individually

The earliest models (1922-1930) lack a cooling system

Somewhat less effective than the Carnifex on the modern stage

Description:

Ordinance General Nysala Vymok, in 1922, was already highly regarded for her bolt-action rifle made for the Army. She had chosen to bring a pistol to the stage in the form of the 1922 revolver. With the first field models completed in 1921 and sent out for field testing with soldiers actively fighting pirates and other vagabonds of the Terminus. Pleased by the positive reviews of soldiers and yet another low cost weapon, the Erineos Republic adopted the Vymok Revolver.

The Vymok Revolver was able to arm all members of the armed forces who were previously without a sidearm However, while off world, some Vanguard members experienced heat buildup issues with the weapon. This led to the 1930 change in the design that added a cooling system directly into the weapon's frame. It caused a slight increase of cost but it was well worth it to be able to operate off Thysera. The original models were collected and stored for reserve weapons. They were most recently used to fight Husks in the Reaper War. Production of the Revolver continued to 1985, when the order ceased for mass production.

Over the years, the Vymok Revolver was still the pistol of choice until the early 2100s. It was at this point that the Erineos Republic chose to invest in more modern, high capacity, semi-automatic pistols. The Vymok Revolver was slowly phased out of issue, but the popularity of the weapon over the years allowed it to be retained as an approved private purchase sidearm. Even to today, the Vymok Revolver is unofficially in service with the Armed Forces and still issued to CSS police forces. The Republic also reserves the right to call up a special order of the pistol, if it so chooses.

CLARIFYING NOTE!!!!!

This is NOT a gunpowder based weapon. It uses pre-made slugs which are propelled via the same means as other ME weaponry. The round will not fly as fast but will have greater knockdown power.
