Information:

"Ladies, this is your captain. It's an honor to speak to you today, and I'm honored to sail with you all on the maiden voyage of our people's most recent achievement. Once more, we shall play our dangerous game, a game of Voniferiari against our old adversaries - the varied ner-do-wells of the Terminus Systems. For hundreds of years, your mothers before you and your older sisters played this game and played it well. However, the game is different today; we have total superiority. It reminds me of the days of serving with the Republics when we had Battleships, and a Dreadnought to call on, and the enemy cowered at the sound of our engines. Now they will tremble before our might - at the sound of our silence. The order is: engage the thermal sinks."

...

"Ladies, our own navy doesn't know our full potential. They and our comrades in the Empire will do everything possible to test us; but they will only test their own embarrassment. We will leave our fleet behind, we will slip through roving patrols of pirates and lay off their compound, and listen to their mundane choice of music, all while we conduct missile drills. Then, once we're finished, the only sound they will hear is our laughter, while we make course to Virmire, where the sun is warm, and so is the...comradeship. A great day, people! We sail into history!"

- Speech by Admiral Mirah Zhenya during Wrath of Virmire's stealth trials, 2251

The Revolution-class, an ingenious weapon for the arsenal of the Thyserian Navy and their Krogan overlords. Those who designed it were highly pleased at the "Hunter-Killer" they have devised to combat threats to the former Republic. The ship also marks the ambition of the people of Thysera to enter the big leagues with the Systems Alliance and Turian Hierarchy in the operation of a stealth vessel. The Krogan were especially interested to show their own ambitions just as much.

The Revolution was designed from the Nerpa-class and its own design was used to help develop the Victoria-class and her non stealthy sibling the Thysera-class. The Revolution's design from the start was to give it a tactical advantage in a stealth engagement with larger vessels: it's profile is much smaller (fore/aft and side) than the Nerpa and Victoria. However, unlike the Nerpa and Victoria, which have adopted smaller length fixed-forward guns, the Revolution once again adopted the older standard of weaponry, by using twin MAC turrets. This should not be discounted, however, as the Bloodrage cannons packed by the Revolution should not be trifled with. Additionally, the Revolution uses a mix of CIWS-Flak guns and GARDIAN systems, making for good defense against missile attacks and fighters.

The Flight Pods were improved on the Revolution that a full retraction is not necessary for jumps, the pods may remain fixed for FTL jumps, which will allow for the emergency landing of fighters before a jump and launch upon exiting. The lack of retraction, unlike the Nerpa, will not result in damage to the superstructure This improvement was applied to the Victoria and Thysera, which requires no retraction as well. The only weakness of the Revolution to the other ships of the design is that her slim profile sacrificed an interior position for her jump related equipment, which is prominently displayed on the bottom side of the vessel. The chance of any enemy exploiting this flaw is minimal at best.

The first vessel of the Revolution class is also a test bed to possible further stealth vessels in the future. The Revolution changed how the Krogan Empire and Erineos Queendom approached shipbuilding, living up to the name of its class.

Naming Conventions: The first ship of the line, being a joint Krogan-Erineos venture, was named Wrath of Virmire after much pestering persistence convincing input from Ravanor Xarak. Any subsequent ships, differing from typical naming conventions in the Thyserian Navy, will follow a "Wrath of" style convention.
