The Akora-class Frigate was the answer to this question. Combining the interdiction duties of the Tevis with the intended duty of the Speros of fleet defense, the Akora was found to be suitable in both these roles. However, with an armament less than that of the Speros, albeit more powerful, the class is not suited for prolonged engagements like the various cruisers. ![]() Akora in flight Lightly armed and fast, extremely suited for hit and run attacks, the Akora is not able to take too much punishment compared to other vessels. However, her size and slim side profile makes her a difficult target to hit. The Akora, unlike the Tevis, is also not able to enter atmosphere due to its size. Despite the drawbacks, the Akora makes for a powerful compliment to the Nerpa and other vessels under the new doctrine. Naming Conventions: Ships are named by their first Captains, resulting in a varied gambit of names.
