Description: The Aralakh-class Battleship is the brainchild of then Soradok Hrogar during his days as a pirate in the Terminus system. A replacement for his former private vessel, a Geneva-class Cruiser Soradok he acquired from the graveyard of one of the battles of the Reaper Wars, the Woozin's Scourge is the only example of Independent Krogan shipbuilding to have ever been seen in the galaxy and survived the Krogan Civil War. Hrogar, being knowledgeable in naval life, designed the vessel himself, with assistance from engineers after the Reaper War ended. The construction was extremely involved, especially in finding a shipyard on Omega that would take the job and accept material taken from other ships as well as money for the construction. Many a vessel was captured by Hrogar's crew and bought to Omega, demolished, and used to build his future flagship. The cost ran 45 billion credits total but as Hrogar saw it, was extremely worth the cost. Now putting him in charge of three vessels (the Soradok and his first vessel, a Frigate called Arzin's Delight) effectively made him one of the few Pirate Admirals in the Terminus. His crew enjoyed the opportunity to gain some more booty once he promoted a Captain to the Soradok in 2229. The Aralakh-class is an interesting vessel in its design, intended by Hrogar to be modular in the event he would ever be able to produce more of the class in the future. The Autocannons of the vessel can be substituted for Flak turrets or even mortar turrets. In the place of the nuclear missile launchers on the Woozin's Scourge can be a broadside of MAC cannons, more missile launchers for smaller missiles, or hangars for fighters and interceptors. The 10 Disruptor Torpedo Launchers can also be configured to launch conventional missiles if needed in addition. This makes the vessel's design versatile for various missions if more were to come about. Hrogar's success as a pirate using three vessels allowed him to take out entire convoys of supplies with great ease, gaining infamy in the Terminus that he was hunted by the Empire of Pax Vitus' Royal Navy, the Black Suns, and Eclipse for the bounty on his head. Every attempt ended badly because of the armor plating and the weapons this vessel packed. Before launching the Second Krogan Rebellion, Hrogar was approached personally by his chief on Omega, Soradok Ganar for a job offer as commander in the clan's armada. Hrogar jumped at the opportunity and so began the time the Woozin's Scourge would spend as a military vessel. During the Second Krogan Rebellion, the Woozin's Scourge joined the rest of the Soradok Armada in destroying any Rachni space-bound vehicles to prevent the bugs from escaping. The MAC turrets were also used in orbital bombardments to some degree. However, it once again turned to piracy in the lead up to the Krogan Civil War, attacking vessels from the Thyserian Merchant Marine and Krogan Empire for their supplies. After three years successfully harassing Imperial ships, the war came and Hrogar dispatched to deliver a massive blow to the Empire. The ship first saw combat against her Imperial counterparts at Wrill, where Hrogar's tactics as a pirate shined brightly. His forces managed to capture the KIN Drau Alaric and rout the Imperial Third Fleet. While standing gallantly in the counterattack, the Woozin's Scourge was surrendered by Hrogar after he was captured on the bridge of the Drau Alaric, a pirate is nothing without his ship, after all. Woozin's Scourge was then bought to Virmire and examined by both EGA and Syvok Design Bureau. The vessel designers were thoroughly impressed with Hrogar's knowledge, but noted the one downside was the use of a Uranium 235 Fission Reactor as the power source. While impounded, the fission reactor was removed and replaced with an EGA Antimatter Reactor, making for a far more effective power source. The ship would eventually be returned to its owner after the Civil War, now Ravanor Hrogar. By 2615, the Woozin's Scourge is now an antiquated piece of equipment, still used by Hrogar as his personal vessel as a consultant for EGA. It stands as a living testament to a determined pirate and, with the Empire, what a determined Krogan can accomplish. Edited by Wheeljack, Feb 23 2017, 01:19 AM.
