Halfwing, you do know I was quoting the Declaration of Independence!!!? I don't think the guys who wrote that meant to vote about fixing the overbearing government. History 101: The Declaration of Independence pretty much kicked off the American Revolution. Anyway... The founding fathers understood that if the government or rulers stop acting for it's people and begin acting only to continue the bureaucracy, that it should be renewed. They also understood that sometimes there is no alternative to fighting. This country was founded by rebels who didn't want a powerful central government. The original version of the Constitution(The Articles of Confederation), basically said the federal government was there to deal with the outside world. Of course that didn't work, but the Constitution was written to improve this concept, strengthen the government, and stabilize the country, but it was still designed so that the government would not be all powerful like it is becoming. I am only warning you all of the coming government based disaster. It's people like me who are watching out for you. If I'm wrong, then no harm, no foul. If I'm right, I guess I can laugh and say " I told you so". |

Ok, so it's 35. But anyway, Why would I try to overthrow you? I don't want to be the figurehead. I'd rather be the guy slightly off to the side giving you advise. And Halfwing, when your speaking to me, could you not use the internet abbreviations? I'm not as savvy as you and Azure about those things. I kind of know a few of them, but what does TL;DR mean? |

Well that is obvious. You can't be bothered to read my explanation. How can I expect a decent response. Anyway, that was probably the shortest rant that I've done in this topic. You're really getting lazy on us Halfwing. |

Yet another debatable question. I believe that the people define liberty. Some believe that the Government define liberty. The actual definition is 1. freedom from arbitrary or despotic government or control. 2. freedom from external or foreign rule; independence. 3. freedom from control, interference, obligation, restriction, hampering conditions, etc.; power or right of doing, thinking, speaking, etc., according to choice. 4. freedom from captivity, confinement, or physical restraint: The prisoner soon regained his liberty. 5. permission granted to a sailor, esp. in the navy, to go ashore. 6. freedom or right to frequent or use a place: The visitors were given the liberty of the city. 7. unwarranted or impertinent freedom in action or speech, or a form or instance of it: to take liberties. 8. a female figure personifying freedom from despotism. |
