too late we started it first and shared medicine is better than the system we have, and even though we have free market, the problem is that the market controls the government

Which is better: To have people who have no experience outside of non profits and government run the system, or people who have worked their way to where they are? Almost no government project has come in under budget or made money. And those who want to run healthcare have no clue how to run a business let alone the US healthcare system. Look at the countries that have socialized healthcare. I don't see people going to Cuba and Canada for transplants and other major surgery. Yes reforms are needed, maybe a few more regulations, but government shouldn't stick it's spoon in the pot and flip it over.

people have gone to canada for medical care and dont use cuba as an example because the are ran by dictators while countries like canada and france are not. besides we dont have control over corporations but we do with our government and the corporations are after their own interests not the peoples interests

Really? You think we have control of our government? Call your congressman; or better yet, your senator(Harry Reid, no relation to our friend, it think). Say that you are against whatever they are doing. See what they say. They couldn't care less what the people think. They're a bunch of progressives who think that they know better than us bumpkins and stinky tourists. Listen to their own words. You're senators couldn't care less what their constituency thinks. You only think you can vote them out. Then Mickey Mouse votes for them and they win. At least the corporations pay attention to what their buyers want. If a car doesn't sell, they stop producing it, instead of pumping millions of dollars into a broken system.

Really. How many people today have the balls or care enough(if at all) to stand up and do what's right? There was a time when 30+ million people voted (around 1896). Now we're lucky to get 10 million to the polls (in 2008). Yeah, there's a few who would stand up to defend the constitution and our rights. But the majority of americans are too ignorant and stupid to even watch the news beyond the sports. Most of the people who go out and vote are older people and minorities who are brought to the polls by ACORN and other "social reform" groups.

Or miserable failure. A man who apologizes for america's greatness at every overseas event will not lead the US to greatness

Actually, if the Liberal Media hadn't decided that they wanted to bash Bush, he wouldn't have had such a bad rap. Bush acted how the country wanted him to and how was necessary. Obama must agree, because he's using all of Bush's policies that the media said were so bad(of course now, it's a great accomplishment; for Obama). And I never said we'd be better off with a Progressive like McCain. Either way we were screwed. And no one has good ideas because they're all self proclaimed "progressives".

you know whats funny about this, we would have the same conversations about McCain with the obvious differences but the same places, but even the republicans were complaining about bush in his last term. the guy was a complete dumb ass and the majority only had him do the things he did because they were scarred

In all truth, a dumbass is better than an egotistical idealist who can't remember a speech to kindergartners. I dislike all politicians, but especially the those that want gun control, socialism, and more government in general. And what were they afraid of, Dick Cheney taking them hunting? And the Republicans, like all politicians, only complained about Bush because it was popular. Even the Dems supported the invasion of Afghanistan, and many went along with Iraq. They were all(at least the ones on the security council) briefed on exactly what was going on. Now that the whole thing is unpopular, they whine about how nobody told them anything. And of course now Pelosi is saying how much she has in common with the tea party movement. Politicians are the lowest form of life out there. They'll say anything to get reelected. Somehow we trust them to protect our freedoms, yet most people wouldn't let them watch their kids.
