- Quick! I have until Thursday to obtain a southern accent! Georgia to be specific. Go go go go! It's for theater, and you'll probably see a video of it after. |

I can do a decent tennessee. Close to Georgia. Watch Inglorious Basterds. It gives you a fairly good idea. Use Y'all speaking to large groups. Long "I" sounds; Tin becomes Tein If you're going to call someone, you're "gonna give'm a holler". Shopping cart is a buggy. Something you enjoy is "more fun than a barrel of monkeys" "Jeet": Have you eaten recently?/ Did you eat? (Jeet yet; have you eaten yet?) And of course the drawl. |

I'm not sure that you would be able to come out for filming by thursday. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. I might be able to play an accent, but no promises. Why does it have to be a southern accent? |

I doubt I can make it out in time. But I do have a phone if needed. People around here can barely tell I'm a outsider. And Jan, listen to some older country music. Learn the words and sing along. You'll pick up the accent easily. If you need some good examples; Brooks & Dunn Alan Jackson Dwight Yoakam The Oak Ridge Boys That sort of thing |
