So. here we are finally with our zeta board upgrades. Which thanks to our code monkey are about 90% finished.
However There is something that you the students need to change yourselves.
That is the links that alot of students have in their signitures that lead to their character bio pages. Since we upgraded to Zeta boards, the old invision links Will no longer be usable After a certain point. So it's up to you to go in and replace them in your siggies yourselves.

For those that don't know exactly how to go about doing that. here's what you do.

Just click on the links in your siggies to get to your profile. It will automatically take you to the new URL. Just copy the new URL and replace the old one in your sig settings.
Easy peasy. ^^

We are suggesting you do this right away because there is no telling how long the auto link will last during the upgrade process.

To further help. Here are examples of the old URLS and the new ones.

Old: http://s15.invisionfree.com/MidoriHighSchool/index.php?showtopic=912

New: http://s15.zetaboards.com/MidoriHighSchool/topic/501238/1/

It's important because all the zetaboard links have the /1/ at the end.

Lastly, <div> Code no longer works in the signitures. So you'll have to do without your scroll boxes for the time being. So please remove any <div>code from the siggies.

Hehe, well it has definitely been quite a while since we have last released information on any changes we have made to the place. Yet for some of the stuff we accomplish it just goes out as word of mouth and well you all figure it out eventually. Anyways one new change is definitely our migration to the new Zetaboards system. Some of its features resemble invisionfree but a lot of the differences make the forums much nicer to use.



With the change are also able to have multiple themes for the board so all of you can pick the one you like best and it makes the coding for us much easier. Heck we could even end up doing a seasonal rotation of themes to make this place look nifty. There are a good number of possibilities and unexplored features yet to venture. So I suggest that all members go ahead and test the new board system in the OOC areas or through simple role play. Either way have fun with it, I know I am going to try when I am free before or after work. In any case now that we have gotten the upgrade, the staff is going to be working on some changes of our own to make this place just that much more interesting. Most likely we will try to get things ready for the long awaited winter vacation.

Alright, here goes nothing. The staff has been discussing a few problems this forum is facing, such as the clashing of radically different RP styles, and we've come up with a couple possible experiments. As the newbie, I've been nominated to explain our first experiment to you. Introducing SL tags.

Storyline tags are here so you can clearly and concisely express what sort of roleplay you're looking for in your topic title or description. Just pop one or several of the following into the title of your SL.

<OTA> = Open to all.
<SSL> = Interaction and character development SL. Don't come here looking for a fight. More on this below.
<FSL> = Fighting SL, for picking a fight.
<PRV> = Private topic, don't enter unless you're invited.
<ASK> = Ask before joining the SL.
<MFSL> = Main forum SL, run by one of the staff. Don't use this tag if you aren't staff or we will smite you with a banana.
<M-C> Music class.

Teachers can also define a tag for their own class, to get the attention of their students, and will edit theirs in as they come up with them.

Use of these tags is purely optional, but please please PLEASE respect them when you see them. Tags represent the wish of the topic starter for what direction the SL will take, and derailing it from those wishes is very rude. Now, I'm not saying you can't ever throw a punch in an <SSL> topic, or theres no room for a little conversation in an <FSL> topic. But DO NOT go into the <SSL> topic just to pick a fight. Don't try to start a romance in an <FSL> thread. If you can't remember what a tag means look back here before you post.

A major reason for this experiment is that we've seen a lot of thread derailings in the past because different people want different things out of their RP. Some of us are type A, looking to create deep and well developed characters and develop them through their interactions with others. Some of us are type B wanting neat powers to use to pick fights with people. When a type B gets into a type A topic or vice versa, things get derailed badly and the SL usually dies a fast death. It is my earnest hope that by doing this we can allow both types of RPers to coexist without messing up each others fantasies.

With the arrival of a new teacher. The music class will be starting it's regular schedule hopefully... >_>
However the list is really out of date.
