Why am I here? Yue's purple eyes looked at the school in front of her staring at it with blank eyes, her luggage standing right next to her. Her father had sent her here for a "mission" at least that was what he had said, but there was one problem. She was used to the detailed briefings her father gave her right before she left, but this time, there didn't seem to be that sort of thing. Come to think of it, her father had never acted like that to her in that kind of way.

~**Flashback**~

Yue was quickly flipping through a detailed packet of the next mission, her eyes glancing at the page for only a minute before she turned the page. Most people would have thought that she was merely flipping through and skimming the pages, but that was not it. She was reading it quite thoroughly although most did not see it in that way. She was almost done with the 50 page detailed report when one of her co-workers came and tapped her on the shoulder. Yue immediately turned around, her alluring eyes looking directly at her comrade.

"what is it?"
she asked curtly. Yue could see her comrade flinch at her words, but she didn't question him.

"Uh... well... your father wants you in his office." The man looked at her nervously and then continued. "He said it was urgent."

Without another word, Yue was off, leaving the man stunned. What exactly did her father want? After a few minutes of walking, Yue was knocking on her father's office, waiting for a response from inside. "Come in." She turned the knob and entered seeing her father looking quite happy with himself.

"What is it that you want father? I was just about to depart for my next mission." Yue's eyes pierced through her father's soul, but he didn't flinch away from her. Instead, he lifted his head and met her gaze. "We are reassigning you to a different mission.." There was a moment of silence and for a second it looked like Yue was going to throw a fit, but instead, she asked a simple question. "Then what exactly is my next mission?" The last thing she remembered was her father's eerie grin as he gazed upon her.

**~End Flashback ~**

She should have known from the start that something like this was going to happen. Why else would her father want to speak with her. She took another step forward when she felt a yawn run through her body. She put a hand up to her mouth to cover the wide hole on her face; she had too many experiences of a bug flying into her mouth while she was yawning. Now that she thought about it, she did use hyper intuition in her last mission. Yue knew what was going to happen next and honestly, there was no use fighting it. She felt her body become heavy and she felt her eye-lids droop. Then, in the next second, she had collapsed on the ground, her long hair trailing behind her. Yue's usual sleep spells were coming along as it was supposed to. She wasn't in any danger, she knew that and besides, she found that it was useless to fight the drowsiness.

As she laid there on the ground, on her side, the sunlight seemed to seep out from behind those few clouds and rest on Yue. It was a perfect day to go out and sleep.

It was that time of day when one would find the courtyard devoid of students. They all went about their lives to either study or frolic in the nearby landmarks. While the School remained a treasure trove of mysteries the same was said about the surrounding area. Thus students acted on that impulse of curiosity in hopes that they would find the next big thing or a magical item to expand their abilities. Regardless of personal situations it remained true that a very small number or students occupied the vast courtyard. Spread out they were mildly aware of the existence of those around them; choosing to go about their business. What reason would you have to be aware of your surroundings when nothing seemed out of place?

Bliss is a wonderful thing as long as it doesn't blind you from the surrounding reality. Without a watchful eye that observes one misses out on the inner workings of abnormality. Such an abnormality occurred as the shape of a male formed from the nearby shadows. The older looking male, wore a fine black dress shirt tucked under a pair of black dress pants; keeping them up was but a simple leather belt. At first glance the business type attire would give up the impression of an instructor rather than a senior student. Beyond the attire the most bizarre aspect of the male by far was his platinum hair that flowed down to his waist and kept together by a lavender ribbon; the same color as his tie. A fading scar crossed his left eye; the deep hue it emanated compared to a Tiger's Eye gemstone. With a natural step he walked onto the nearby path and made his way towards the main building.

'The others must be able to sense the change in the air. The first seal...awoke...' Trail of thought ended just as his steps had; the interruption caused by a sleeping figure on the ground a foot or so ahead. Had his shadows not sensed the presence; the male would have tripped and fallen on the slumbering girl. First instinct was to expand his shadows; ready to silently strike the girl if necessary. However, the tired expression on her face and the knowledge of his actions causing a possible scandal held him back for now. Having never seen or met the girl, he was unsure of the type of personality to attempt. This type of random occurrence aggravated the older male that he lightly toppled over the girl's luggage with the tip of his foot. Staring down at the girl, he spoke in a loud and irritated voice; "You are in the WAY!"

Sun shining down on her, the warmth spreading throughout her body, she felt comfortable. However, that quiet, serene atmosphere of pure bliss wasn't going to last long as a rather annoying voice entered through her ears. Her eyes opened slowly, but she didn't quite catch the words that were said. She looked up, her mysterious magenta eyes looking around her in a dazed state before she saw the man standing in front of her. She took a glance at his figure and then her eyes moved to the sky. She concluded silently that she was out for at least 5 minutes. The man who looked rather irritated at the moment was the only person who she could think of who could have said those cryptic words to her. A student.. She pulled her body up into a sitting position and rubbed the tiredness from her eyes. I still lack the energy to stay awake..

It took her a few minutes, but she was finally standing and when she did, she had finally realized what the strange man had said. He had told he to move out of the way. Looking around her, she saw that this man had plenty of room to walk around her, so why did he bother talking to her about how she had to move when he was perfectly capable of moving himself? "...You could walk around. It isn't that hard. You don't need me to help you with that right?" she replied. Her voice didn't sound like she was mocking him, neither did it sound like she was trying to be arrogant. It was just a monotone voice that merely seemed to state facts.

There was something else bothering her as well. Why was the man so aggravated. It was a pointless emotion that just seemed to get in the way of everything and make situations even worse. She had seen tons of missions where the aggravation of one teammate cost the whole team their mission and their lives. But what advice could she possibly give to this person? Tell him not to be angry? It wasn't their fault that they couldn't suppress the emotion like she could. Her calculating eyes took one more glance at the man before she turned to her luggage to roll it off to her dorm. However, in the process of rolling her luggage off, the wheels had managed to roll themselves over the man's foot, but Yue didn't stop. Instead, she just continued walking.

The older male simply watched as the odd girl took her time waking up from her slumber. Every breath every movement was recorded carefully; trying to get an understanding of the type of person the girl was. Down to the minuscule redundant details he took notice and with it the aggravation began to subside. It was this data that set in motion a profile; a mental archive of possibilities. Sure, he could have walked around the girl or pretended she wasn't there but then he wouldn't have lived up to his name. With the type of person he was, that wasn't going to sit right with anybody. Even with this random occurrence he was not about to break that particular habit of his.

Eventually a few minutes passed and the girl stood from her sitting position, making it apparent that she was still tired for whatever reason. "I could do that, but there lies fundamental flaws to that. For it is unnatural and absurd to accommodate someone that falls asleep in the middle of a pathway. Where this a road; would the proper thing to do be drive around or run over the obstruction? Logically the right response is to take care of the obstruction. If one does not take that responsibility then someone out there will choose the second option." The older male spoke in a clear calm voice as he stated his reasoning to the girl. What he said was indeed true in one way or another; even if his method of taking care of said obstruction was crude at best.

Continuously he observed the girl for any type of response or rebuttal to his data for it was fact that some disturbed individuals would try to run over anything in their path. If it were not a true statement then the road wouldn't be littered with roadkill so frequently as it is. A simple exchange of glances was given as she started to walk past the male in the process she attempted to run over his foot. Naturally; his ability was in effect and rather than going over it; the wheeled baggage simple went through his foot without any effort at all. It was as though his foot was never there to begin with. If she noticed or not was still unconfirmed as she continued her pace away from the male. "In retrospect, it was not I that needed help; I did you a valuable favor there by taking responsibility." There was no hint of sarcasm or superiority in his tone of voice. The older male spoke as though it were a mere statement of possible conclusions that could have taken place. The only point he attempted to get across was that his choice was the correct one among the other two and nothing more.

The response of his voice stopped her and almost immediately she turned to look at him straight in the eye. She calculated him from head to toe once more. The voice was embedded into her head, every movement he made, every word he spoke ingrained into her mind. Different things started storing themselves into the little folders she set in her head. The color of his hair, the way he carried himself, the way he tied his hair, the way he spoke, everything stored into her mind in an instance. A silence had laid itself upon their shoulders, but it wasn't awkward.

"...Flaws? There are no flaws in my data.." It was a statement. She took a step forward and lifted her hand off of her luggage. Her mysterious purple eyes staring at him as she started picking out different data from the crimes that were committed in the past. "...Last year... February 16th, a woman was stabbed in front of an apartment building. Three separate assaults in a span of 10 minutes. All the people in the apartment building saw the woman being stabbed, but they did not do anything in order to save her. Instead what did they do? They stared as she cried for help. It was only after the victim fell to the ground that someone called for 911. And what did the people say in the building, "I didn't want to get involved with it."" The information that she had spewed out was definitely a case from awhile ago, and hardly anybody believed that it was true, but it was. Humans were nasty creatures, Yue knew that. She knew how cruel they could be and she knew the logic that circled around their brains every moment of their lives.

"Logically... the right response is to go around the obstruction mainly because humans don't want to get involved. They don't want to be bothered by something as troublesome as that. Especially if he or she is a stranger to them. Thus, the second option becomes the latter..."
Her voice, her everything sounded as if she was just reading this off from a book. She wasn't trying to prove herself right because competition was pointless. No, she was doing this man a favor by telling him how the world went, but no, he thought that he was giving her a favor. That was also wrong.

"The choice you made might have been the right one... but you are an exception. You are only one person. One person cannot change statistics. One person cannot be the whole world. One person cannot speak for everyone." At this point, Yue felt her eyes grow blurry as the man in front of her came in and out of focus. A single hand went up to he face as she started rubbing. It was another side effect from using hyper intuition. The hand drew away from her face for a second only to return. She felt herself sway, but immediately used her luggage for support. Side effects...they are lasting longer than usual.

((btw.. that was a true event that happened... although I'm not sure about the date... but.. it really did happen... ))

Inwardly he couldn't help but smirk as his voice had reached the girl and caused her to halt in her tracks. Already he could feel the Strife beginning to emanate from the situation and fuel him. The look in her eyes the vast amount of calculations she was probably making; all of it was enriching his own existence. She could collect all of the information she could but in the end it was going to be flawed and the older male knew that as an inevitable truth. Her statement was proof of that very flaw beginning to blossom forth. 'You see that Kazuki? That is how you plant the seeds of Strife in others!' An internal conversation began and ended with that thought as the girl proceeded to talk as though she were nothing more than a mere terminal of facts. Perhaps prolonged exposure to the girl could cause harm but the possibilities remained low for it seemed she missed one important thing. The overwhelming joy of the situation was having a great effect on the platinum haired individual even though he showed absolutely no sign of it.

Gladly he let her go on and on until she reached the end of her little data and her erroneous statement. "Data always has its flaws; nothing in this world is considered perfect and even the minute details we perceive of the world can be viewed in many ways. Who is to say what one individual person perceives is undeniable truth?" Taking few steps back, the older male made sure to keep some distance from the girl; just enough to where she was a couple arm lengths away from reach. For whatever reason he took those steps he wanted her to observe his whole figure as he conversed. "Such an occurrence as tragic as it is; doesn't display the true extent of humanity's intentions. Sure there are not many that will stand up for others even more so if that person is a complete stranger. However it is undeniable that there are others like myself that will choose to take that responsibility to take care of the situation."

Right and wrong, had little meaning to the older male as he continued his reply. He merely responded to what was presented to him and nothing more. Fact can override fact especially of they are based on conclusions from personal observation and data gathering. "If humanity truly were the sort that don't want to get involved then there would not such thing as a law enforcement system; people wouldn't have this fleeting feeling of personal justice. There is an extent people will go through for others as long as fear doesn't overwhelm them and as long as their survival is more or less guaranteed." A swell idea came to mind; one that could be defined as devilish by any observer. With the safe distance between them; the mysterious male made his move. Taking his right hand, he reached into his chest and took another step back. With his sudden movements; another male seemingly appeared from him. Unexplainable as the situation was it happened before the girl.

The young male between them appeared to be roughly sixteen, unkempt long black hair flowed down to his shoulders. He appeared to be wearing torn and raggedy clothes that appear to have been worn over a prolonged period of time. One distinct mark could be seen across the male’s heart region. A rose like crystal pulsated from the hole in the Kimono. Whatever the object was, the eerie glow reacted as though in unison with the boy's heartbeat. Devoid of consciousness his lavender eyes held a misty presence to them. Had the newcomer not been held in place by the older male's hand surely he would have collapsed to the ground. A cold chill emanated from his body as slowly his skin froze; "So then tell me, what choice does your mind seem to be making based on what you observe. Do you think you will follow your data and human logic, pretend you see nothing or make the right choice? The boy before you is a mere stranger but by the look of things he does appear to be in distress... oh and if you are wondering he is indeed real."

He could care less about statistics or the effects one individual can make on the world because she was right one person can not speak for everyone and will never be able to. However, there is no exception that many out there as rare as they are will make the right choice given the opportunity. The girl's actions could end up proving his point without any hesitation and intently he awaited what that action would be. "Statistics is unimportant when faced with the situation in real time. One person cannot be the world but it can surely change and shape it into something beyond a simple realm. So I ask you to speak for yourself in this example if you will." Like it had since the beginning his voice never faltered or strayed. He spoke in a rational and calm manner that would give a rising chill to the spines of others based on the current situation.

She had regained herself and the dizziness had lifted. She was able to hold herself up and when she did, different thoughts began whirling around in her head. He was peculiar. Why was he trying so hard to prove that he was right when history and data clearly stated that he was wrong? What was he exactly going to prove by going against her logic? She calmly listened, her magenta eyes looking straight at him as he spoke. She had to admit, those were the thoughts of humans and it wasn't their fault that they couldn't suppress these different emotions. It wasn't this man's fault that he didn't know anything about her or the generations of data she had collected.

Yue's eyes caught the steps he took to keep the distance between them. At first, she thought it was because he didn't want to be anywhere within 100 meters of her, but that was not it. If he didn't want to converse with her, he would have walked away by now leaving her to ponder about his odd actions, but no, he was indeed standing there in front of her, talking. There had to be a reason why he had backed away from her and that question continued to pound in her brain. Five feet... 7 feet... 10 feet... Why that far? Her eyes were still fixated on the distance between them when she felt another presence around her. Her eyes immediately left the space and turned towards the new figure that had appeared. How he had appeared, she did not know, but one thing was for certain, he was suffering.

Yue's eyes remained unmoving as she stared at the newcomer. "... As for your statement from before...Because these truths have been built up and changed for generations, many have been able to discover the ultimate truth. Why do you think people are unhappy in this world... The answer is simple... their opinion doesn't follow the ultimate truth..." There was a small pause before she continued explaining in a monotone voice."As for law enforcement, that is totally different subject all together..."

"The next thing that people are motivated by.. reward... or benefits." Her still body suddenly moved as she took a step towards the cold being in front of her. She could see the pain that was etched in its eyes, but she wasn't fazed by it. She had seen those eyes plenty of times during her line of work. "What do you think that law enforcements are motivated by... justice? Yes, some maybe, but most are motivated by wealth. If they are not paid to do their jobs, what do you think would happen to the law enforcement in this world?" She knew what would happen if money wasn't involved. There would be no law enforcement, the criminal rate would increase, civilians would die, death would be more common, the world would fall into an abyss of chaos.

She didn't need to be told twice that this image was real. Her eyes stared and stared, no emotion etched on her face. ... Survival rate... 0%... there is no point in trying... Besides.. saving him is not my mission. There has been no or- She stopped in the middle of her thoughts as she remembered what her father had said.

**~Flashback~**

"We need you to go to high school." Her father had stated to her. He didn't like how his daughter was staring blankly at him. He wanted more life in those eyes, he didn't want his daughter to continue with this emotionless life. At first, these emotions were conflicted by the duty to his agency, but ever since she had grown up, these questions could not be denied. He wanted his daughter to get married, he wanted her to have a life, he wanted her to make mistakes that she would regret and he wanted her to feel something, he wanted her to cry, laugh, get angry.

"HIgh school? What is that?" Her words had pained him, but he kept his composure.

"A school basically for kids your age." her response was immediate. "And.. the mission is?" why did everything have to be a mission for her?

"It's not a mission.. this is your break. You have earned it. You haven't taken a break ever since you have entered the agency. It's about time that you take the rest that you need. You strained yourself too much in your last mission and plus, the boss is worried about your health."

"I'm fine... I don't need one."

**~ End flashback ~**

Her father had forced her to take this "mission" and she did not have any say in it. However, looking at the situation in front of her, there was no point in doing anything. It didn't look like the boy could survive more than 3 seconds without the help of the strange man behind him.

"there is no point in saving him. He's going to die either way and saving him wasn't part of my order. Kill him."
That was her answer to his question, to his challenge. Her magenta eyes were quite serious. If he was going to die then might as well give him a quick painless death. She had been asked by many to kill her subordinates and she had no problem with it, she had done it quick and painlessly. She had never once felt guilty about what she had done. She never once had any nightmares of the desperate pleads to save their life. She had never once thought about how their families would react to the sons and daughters of the subordinates she killed.

Maybe it was partially because he didn't understand how her life was or how she grew up. Her life was the agency, she had done missions and other things and put her life on the line for the agency. She was taught to hold her emotions in and she was taught not to feel sympathy for victims. That was how the agency was.

The girl before him didn't exhibit any type of human compassion; her mannerisms and her ultimate decision were nothing more than limitations of a mere tool. Beyond it all however she understood one fundamental reasoning that kept humanity together and progressing to this point. Humanity can not live without Strife; they simply could not be trusted to do the right thing. Breaking what became a staring contest; the older male's gaze were set on the boy before him. 'Strife, you have had your share. Both you and I know the importance of this boy's role in the future. After all, the moment you knew what he was capable of and the gift he carried for our goals you sacrificed your wife to preserve his existence.' For the first time Kazuki's voice was heard within the thoughts of the pair. Amused at the rare display, the presence known as Strife backed off and let the other take control.

At this point it is not as though it mattered; this girl could never hope to find out who they were based on this chance encounter. Nothing remained of their past; it was all lost in the destruction of the Hunters and Temptress. While Kazuki had one final link to take care off, it was only know by one other individual in the world. The chances were beyond improbable they were impossible. "There isn't but one ultimate truth, for every existence creates a new one. It isn't just one but a mere infinite amount. Even then it remains clouded by the effects placed on the time-line. Those who have not been discarded by it have no hope of comprehending the changes that were made, the pasts that have been rewritten and those that forever will remain lost."

Kazuki's aura was unlike Strife's; this one while it had a vast understanding of the world and its contents sought one distinct goal separate from Strife. The vertical scar around his left eye was proof of that goal and what he had yet to do. As long as he gave control away he was guaranteed the resolution he sought. Soft eyes, laid on the tragic boy that he held him close in a gentle manner. He was the exception to everything humanity had built up. The only innocent soul that remained; or what was left of it. Ignoring the girl's commentary; Kazuki was compelled the story of the one he held. "You know this boy was never motivated by reward or any benefit; he did his best to provide a future for humanity. Not once did he do anything that benefited him but did everything he could to keep those around him smiling even if they trampled over him. Their mud soaked boots rubbing their weight on his back."

Before Joung was lost to the world, Kazuki had the fortune of learning about the boy's past from his stories and from reading the mind. Even if at the time the boy had lost his most precious memories. The moment Strife Struck him with Zombra and the fragments of the Temptress there was but one name he called out for. 'Hyo~chan!" Was all he said, and then at that very moment when the Temptress became his new heart that name, that face that part of his heart was forever lost. "Joung as he was called, sacrificed every memory he had to save the students of this school and give them the tools necessary to survive what has yet to come. There was never any benefit for him and he knew exactly what would happen. It was a choice only he could make; which was the right one."

Kazuki's eyes closed as he tried to hold off the boy's powers from going out of control. Bringing him out wasn't in their best interest but just maybe out there the three Stardust Hunters had reached the first step in their mastery. If they had Joung would have been given the opportunity to move once more or at least been given a single memory to hold on to. "This boy is of such high importance that no matter what the circumstance, his life is always top priority. Without him there is no hope left for humanity once..." Strife's influence stopped Kazuki short of revealing too much of their plans; if the others were to know it wouldn't sit well. Pestilence and War would have a fit although at the very least Shiro would understand. Leaving it at that, Kazuki pulled Joung back towards him. As he did the boy slowly vanished till only his head remained. A soft warm smile emanated from his lips as a hint of life in his eyes returned. "Hyo~chan...?" Joung left with only that soft parting word; proof that down there somewhere he was mastering the Temptress on his own and regaining his most important memory. "Well, it seems his survival isn't dependent on the other three after all."

She watched with disinterest. She heard with disinterest. The world that she lived in consistently tried to defy the ultimate truth, but in the end, what happened? People died, people suffered, people turned into that. Happiness, sadness, pain, dejection, they were all pointless to the world. Having no emotions was the best thing that happened in her life. If people weren't allowed to feel, then everything would be different. There would be no crime, there would be a calm peaceful society which continued to rise, nothing more.

"Let me ask you...what he gained from making people happy instead of his own? Nothing. Smiles? Warmth? Pointless emotions that will only get away in the future because it always dies. It's a continuous cycle that seizes to stop. Happiness is not eternal, it can never be. So what is the point of such emotion? "

If someone were to hear Yue and her thoughts right now, they would take pity on her. A girl her age having not experienced anything. She didn't know the silent joy about eating ice cream out on a hot summers day, nor did she understand the happiness of just sitting in front of the fire and drinking hot chocolate with the person that you most cherished. What kind of teenage girl was she? What kind of life did she live to the point that she didn't even understand the point of love?

She stared at him, her magenta eyes trying to understand the gravity of the situation, but she couldn't grasp it. Why were there so many people that would be willing to sacrifice their life in order to save another? Normally in the statistic of 10 people, more than half were willing to take a job that earned money rather than volunteer. So, why was it different in this situation. What kind of person were they if they were willing to sacrifice themselves just for the sake of happiness?

"You and your people are confusing and strange. I do not understand, but what I do know is that your people are foolish...like every other human in the world... "

Kazuki was aware of what the girl lacked; no it wasn't that she lacked the necessary emotions that defines one as human but rather she discarded them for whatever reason. if persuaded the right way perhaps she could become a valuable asset for their cause. Pestilence already had her subordinate, Shiro remained waiting at the base and his own player was lost to the time-line. It would take weeks, months if not years before Joung could become operable once more. However at the rate the student body was progressing perhaps it wasn't a day too far off. Already he was gaining control of the temptress and regaining fragments of his old self. "Joung never sought any type of personal gain. He lived for the sake of others even if they would turn their back on him and vanish into obscurity. Smiles...warmth; they were not pointless emotions for him. A mere smile was simply the gateway he used to place a mark on the heart of others. Warmth was something foreign to him; for his body always felt the full force of his active ability as you noticed with his freezing skin."

If there was one thing Kazuki could not stand was for someone to belittle a pure soul like Joung. Not once were his hands ever soiled with sin; even when he agreed to join their cause. There was no hesitation in his eyes when he learned everything. Choosing to be the sacrifice for mankind he played his role to the full extent of his abilities and then some. Simply because beyond all of the hardships and cruelty he experienced from his peers he hoped from the bottom of his heart that they could be redeemed. That humanity could change and begin to understand one another. "You seem to misunderstand the human concept of happiness. They know very well that it isn't eternal and that surely some day it will vanish. However they continue to seek it because for that fleeting moment when they experience that blissful state; the hardships they experienced to attain it become meaningless. Some one devoid of emotions as yourself can not never hope to comprehend that feeling of achievement."

Kazuki's sights went back to hers as she coldly stared him down. The look she gave was one of confusion that her data could never hope to comprehend. Then again how could she ever be expected to. It is the equivalent of explaining the joys of flight to a goldfish. It was just beyond her world out of her grasp. Having taken enough of his time; Kazuki turned his back to the girl as he spoke; "Sure humanity is a foolish and immature species but they are far superior to a mere emotionless tool. You, a being devoid of emotions are nothing more than a mere doll that could never hope to mimic a real person. You are biologically human but compared to the rest of the world you are beyond an empty shell. Joung having sacrificed everything for the very people you can't comprehend; remains a clear example of the purity humanity can posses. Joung is more alive than you are in his current state that it is pathetic at best. You can't even be placed in the same league as a vegetable. You have no part in this world so run along mere plaything, return to your master if you even have one."

Yue didn't seem to be fazed by any of this. Her mysterious magenta eyes stayed focused on them, and then she had it. It was a story that she had read when she was a little girl. She had no idea why that story came up out of nowhere, but she spoke it out loud. "...Even if they turned on him...? A story... about a man. He was walking somewhere... but he was a kind, giving old man, a pure soul. While he was walking on a path, he saw a woman that was robbed. So, he gave her her money. The woman just turned and left without a goodbye. Soon, the man bumped into another person that needed his help so he gave them his food. The man kept on giving to the people around him until all he left was his head. But he was happy... he was content... he had a smile on till the end. " She stopped speaking. She had just proven his statement that there were people around the world that did give even if they weren't benefited by it, but there was something wrong. "This is just a mere fairy tale.. a child's story only meant to be forgotten..."

Her eyes remained unmoved as she watched the man turn his back to her, probably thinking about leaving, but his final words had struck a chord with her somewhere within her. She wasn't angry, no, anger was a pointless emotion and she knew that. It was more of a shock rather than anger. "...Emotionless tool... I don't think you have the right to say that about me...Just because I lock away my emotions... doesn't mean I'm a tool. " This man was filled with misunderstandings. The way he spoke so arrogantly about her, the way he turned his back to her, it all meant something. "... On the other point... I'm not here to mimic people... What makes you think I am here to mimic the people around me? Why would I do something as pointless as mimicking the mistakes that human make? Mimicking their pointless emotions, mimicking all the pointless and wasteful thoughts and actions that they proceed to do in their every day lives. And I'm not a doll... " Why was this man making so many assumptions when they had first met? Not even she would attempt that unless she had gotten the correct amount of data which took her around a few minutes. "I am perfectly capable of making the same decisions as every one else.. the only difference is that my decisions don't come from emotions..." She didn't cringe as he called her a plaything. Well, she didn't even know what that meant so there was no need to comment.

The man had stated that his little friend was alive. The more, he had reduced her status to a vegetable, why vegetable, she didn't know. "..Quick to judge, quick to make remarks, and quick to escape...You don't enjoy confrontation that much do you?... Actually, that wouldn't be the case because you were the one that woke me up in the beginning didn't you?..." She paused for a second. Then, she closed her eyes. He was indeed stubborn and although his voice didn't show his aloofness, she could see the arrogance. What else could she figure out with the information that she had received? ...Calculating... exact... precise...All the necessary characteristics that make a villain...Everything he says is thought out well.. he is challenging.. he likes a challenge is that it? If he didn't he would have backed away immediately.. Straight forward isn't it? Insulting, rude, but he is hasty to make his point sometimes and he doesn't enjoy to linger that much... A word... a word to describe his entire being.. what would it be?

"the playmaker?..." That was as close as she could get to describe him. The playmaker, the person who was behind the scene making everything move and set into motion. Having the role of a playmaker wasn't easy. You had to have a calculating eye, you had to be observant, and you had to know which pieces to move in order to let things go your way. She completely ignored the master part mainly because she had no idea what he was talking about at this point. Master? What master? Like she said, he was quick to judge so maybe the playmaker didn't really suit him as a name, but besides that all characteristics fit. Maybe if he was worth her time, she would give him a better name, other then that, this would have to do .

Sometimes the works craftily weaved by storytellers were based on the truths of the world. Discrete reminders and warnings for the next generation to follow and keep them going in the right direction. Over time those fairy tales lose its effectiveness and are minimized to a simplified form. One that at times loses the important details and most important of all the second verse that contains the true horror of humanity. Within the male's mind Strife could not hold back his laughter as he was very familiar with that unknown ending. This particular ending had a forgotten beginning to something that humanity seems to have forgotten. The girl was right, it was meant to be forgotten much to their luck. Had the full verse been remembered; it would have cautioned them from the true horrors that retain their slumber waiting for that moment. "Fairy tale...meant to be forgotten? That is one way to look at; another is why should they remember one of humanity's darkest hours?"

Strife was reminded of another time; and how a foolish warning was uttered to him during a conquest. That Humanity would never forget or forgive their actions that no matter what they would take back the world and never let them grasp it again. Sure they succeeded at stopping them but that was only one part of it. No one remembers; and no one will. Strife's personal story had long since vanished from the time-line. Of course that couldn't be helped given that all related players were eliminating effectively erasing them from history. However that was just one aspect of him; the role he played in the group probably remained somewhere as a forgotten myth. In the overall perspective of their goals it made things much simpler simply because no one was chasing them this time around. "Why aren't we riled up and defensive now. If you truly had no emotion you would have deemed it useless to argue further. You would have reached a reasoning that said something along the lines of, 'Not enough information has been collected for those points to be based. They are all false and the subject has no intention of correcting them or make an attempt at understanding. No sense in continuing further.' You do mimic a human well for defending your stance and trying to separate yourself from them."

The little game was more or less reaching its end; enough Strife had been created to appease his appetite and amusement for the moment. Even if it was just on an insignificant level; it was all the same in the end. Lighting a match was but what one needed to practice before going for the true bonfires. If Shiro could see him now, surely he would have fits of uncontrollable laughter. There was no reason to pry further but it was part of his little game; prod the computer to reach that paradox till it self-destructs. "Perhaps; who is to say? I don't make a habit of escaping; I am just tired of this stimulation when I have better things to do with my time. To me you are insignificant to the point of non-existence. Just a mere pastime before the real work is done. That sort of thing."

The ending title brought about an interesting smirk from the older male. It was interesting choice of words and one that probably wasn't too far from a probability. If he truly was the play-maker then he wouldn't waste time with trifling things like a sleeping student. Surely he would have killed her the instant she was off guard; for the pure insignificance she represented. It would have been comparable to stepping on a fallen leaf; sure maybe someone out there would care but it was not like they could do anything about it. Strife shook his head in disappointment and tisked at the girl's unsure statement. "With all your data gathering, you remain unsure. You don't even have the conviction to state the conclusion you think is truth confidently. Uncertainty is a human emotion as well doll; be sure to jot that down in that little head of yours." This time around Strife decided to end things his own way rather than letting Kazuki. After all, of the two he was the one in charge; for it was all decided on their pact. Not waiting for a response the platinum haired individual walked away; towards the main gates.

why would humans remember such a pointless thing in life? Why should they remember such a pointless fairy tale if it wasn't even true? She wasn't being defensive about any of what she said. She was stating facts. She could feel a bubbling sensation in the pit of her stomach as she stared at the stranger's back. It was dark red, hot, uncomfortable, but it was only there for a moment. That feeling had happened to her countless of times and she had gotten used to it. She had asked her father what it was that she felt sometimes in the pit of her stomach and her father's only reply was "irritation, anger, frustration" She knew what these words meant verbatim, but she knew she could never actually feel what anger, happiness, frustration, sadness felt like. As Yue's eyes steadily watched the man, she couldn't help but think that he had every single thing wrong. All of his observations were futile because they were all wrong. She took orders from the agency, but she clearly had a mind of her own. She could choose not to or take the mission and it was all up to her. On battle she could shout commands to her other comrades and they would listen.

The warm sun was still shining on her and she could feel the drowsiness already encompassing her again. "...Uncertainty an emotion..." She thought about it for a second, but she shook her head. "It isn't. I wasn't uncertain... no.. that's not what you would call it. " She thought for a moment like she had before, looking for a word to put inside the blank that she had made for the new word. "...Probably.. test and trial... its just a method people use if they want to prove something. Through these mistakes people are able to increase the percentage of perfection.. I was almost there with his name." There was no more need to stand around here. The only reason she had stopped was because she fell asleep and now that she was awake again, she needed to start moving until another drowsy spell starting again.

She found herself staring at the school as she looked up to leave. It was majestic in its own way, and just gazing at it would give any new person a thrill of excitement and nervousness, but not for Yue. Her magenta eyes stared and stared, but there was nothing that made her heart beat a little bit faster. There was no jolt of electricity that made her legs feel numb. No, there was none of that. There was just a blank stare and a emotionless look on her face. "MIdori High school...what a pointless place.. " she muttered to herself as she grabbed the metallic handle of her small package. What was she supposed to do here? Well first thing is first...I have to look around the school and check everything... Standard procedure.. and then.. checking up on student profiles... I wonder if the school would let me have something as confidential as student's profile... My agency doesn't cover schools that are beyond the norm.. so they wouldn't probably let me look at student's private records.. so that means that I have to gather data on my own... She was already into the habit of taking this procedure wherever she went, so it was natural for her to do something like this, it was expected. With the schedule that she had processed into her mind in a mere few seconds, she had grabbed the metallic handle of her luggage and had walked off into the school to find her dorm.
