Account Name: 梟 Inara Serra ![]() "The balance is all that matters." ![]()
![]() Physical Description: Snow White, you all know this one. Hair as black as night, skin as pale as snow, lips to shame the red red rose....And a body that won't quit. 5'9", 130 lbs, hair as black as a ravens wing just down to her pale shoulders. Bangs across her forehead to hide her eyes, which like to change colors, from somewhere in a gray-lavender shade when all is well, to a soft sky blue when she's sad, and occasionally a bright glowing gold when she's mad.Her dark lashes create a perfect frame around d her almond shaped eyes, and her eyebrows are fine, gently arching above. Her mouth is supple, inviting kisses, sensual all on its own. And yes, her lips do shame the reddest of roses. Her smile is rare, and can occasionally be considered scary, though usually when seen, it's a sign of gratitude. Her teeth are white and straight. Her oval face is soft and sweet, especially when framed by her hair. Her body is, well, hot. Slim in all the right places and curvy where it should be. To most she appears soft and sexy, but you shouldn't be fooled. Her muscles are lean and wiry, a product of training and continual use of her bow. She tends to keep her hair up, usually just to keep it out of her face. Her hands are small and white, with long fingers suited to a pianist. She often chews the nails to the quick, which leaves them looking messy. She generally appears sexy and well put together, mostly without effort. Clothing: Snow generally wears black thigh high boots made of supple leather, black skin tight leather pants and is fond of boostiers and corsets, in varying patterns of gray and black. She considers wearing red something like dressing up. Her shoulders and arms are often bare, as cold does not seem to bother her. She will occasionally wear a ribbon around her upper arm, or an armlet as the fancy strikes her. Usually, this happens on what she considers to be special occasions as well. Accessories: Ribbons, Armlets, or other trinkets she may fancy at the moment. Extra: Tattoo between her shoulder blades [Tabs][tab=Picture:]The ever elusive Snow White has fewer pictures than many people she knows, but is certainly not lacking completely in photographic evidence that she exists.[/tab] [tab=1] [/tab][tab=2] [/tab][tab=3] [/tab][tab=4] [/tab][Tab=5] [/tab][tab=6] [/tab][tab=7] [/tab][/tabs]![]() Snow is generally a loner. She dislikes the company of most people, as she assumes they want something by being in her presence. She is almost always outspoken, though she trusts few. She prefers the company of animals to most people, and isn't at all fond of crowds. She does tend to attract trouble, though it annoys her to no end. She rarely speaks of herself or her own feelings, and feels the past is something best left to lie. She has only one person she trusts implicitly with all her secrets, and even he doesn't know all there is to know about her. And she's terribly good at keeping secrets. She loves to hunt, and keeps her bow with her at all times. She doesn't come off as friendly on first meetings, but she hides her warm heart behind a high wall of coldness. People often assess her initially as cold, though they couldn't be more wrong. She doesn't mind the assessment, and has a devil may care outlook on most things in life. Her temper has become something of an annoyance to her, as there are specific people who set it off, while others keep her calm and grounded. She is as yet still unsure of herself when it comes to things like friendship, though she is more apt in this than she knows. While she is mostly antisocial, she doesn't generally like to be rude, even if she gets annoyed with some useless person talking to her. She will nod along for a while, mutter excuse me, and be on her way, generally without incident. She does not, however, tolerate strange men grabbing or touching her, and will immediately respond to such treatment with threats or physical violence, depending upon the level of the offense. However cold she might appear, she does feel it is her duty to stand up for those too weak to stand for themselves and does not tolerate well the mistreatment of any being or animal provided she can stop it and is unswervingly loyal to those she cares for. When she does find herself in need of solitude, she often seeks it on rooftops. She is a very good climber, and the view from above tends to soothe her. She strives for balance in all things, as she sees that both light and darkness are needed to keep each other in check. She will err on the side of whichever one she finds is growing to strong. Snow, being raised the way she was, has no concept of conceit or vanity. The only thing she recognizes herself as good at it hunting, and she could care less about the way she looks. Faces are faces in her estimation, though she has a few she is fond of. She is also highly intuitive, though she doesn't actually strategize well most of the time. She depends on this sort of sixth sense to tell her many things, and it works out for the best most of the time. Very rarely does it fail her, and even then it is usually because she ignores it. Likes: music of all kinds, meditation, silence, books, fighting and hunting (especially with Ranth) Dislikes: Stupid questions, bullies, being touched by anyone she doesn't know. ![]() [tabs][Tab=The beginning]She started out simply enough. She had a small house, in the forest. In her earliest memories, there is Rose, and her mother. There was never any father to speak of, which was probably why it all went the way it did. She only vaguely remembered her mother. But she remembered the beauty in her. Pale like Snow. A bright shining dark curtain for hair. And laughing eyes. She remembered their mothers voice, reciting the tale of their birth. Twin girls, so small, they were born at the same time, hands entwined. The doctors had said it shouldn't be possible, since they weren't identical. Somehow, said mother with a laugh, they'd managed it though, her two sweet girls. The middle of winter, that was when their birthdays were. And although their mother had fared well for the first three years, the stark loneliness and the isolation of their lives had started to wear on her. She could cook, but couldn't gather the ingredients on her own. Snow couldn't remember why the people from the town had stopped coming. She only remembered her mother's haggard face, and the desperation in her eyes anytime she opened their cupboards. And of course she remembered Rose. She was always there to hold Snows hand when mother had a coughing spell, or to tell her it was ok when her tummy grumbled loudly that something was missing. Rose had always been close by to ease the hurt.[/tab] [Tab=2 years later] After two years of suffering, and scrounging, their mother had finally died. She had gone peacefully, in the autumn, in her sleep. The girls had been five. They had buried her in a shallow grave, digging at the hard earth with small hands and nails and make shift tools. The only consolation was that she was between two lovely rose bushes. Snow liked to think it was their thorns whuch guarded her sleep, but it was in truth a momentarily benign universe, taking pity on the two small souls. Their mothers love had been absolute, and they had mourned her as only children can. With truly broken hearts, and the utter conviction that their world had changed forever and always, and would never right itself. They cried for just over a week, before hunger overcame them. In their small cabin by the wood, they discovered hidden weapons. Put by perhaps from a time when their father had been present. They could use the small knives, and Snow's small clever hands had fashioned a child sized bow, in no time. She used the arrows that were put by, shortening them for her own needs. There is no driving force like starvation, and before a month was up, they had learned how to catch or kill or pick what they needed to survive. They could start a small fire in their cabins hearth, and made a variety of stews simply by accident. They were lucky, not to.poison themselves. And in the years that followed, they taught themselves how to survive ably. They could skin, they could trade, they could cook, they could hunt. And for the most part, the wood kept them hidden. But their luck was bound to change, and one day it did.[/tab] [Tab=Twist of Fate] In their eighth year, the region saw its fiercest winter in a decade. The girls were forced to stay in their cabin for a month by the high drifts of snow the blizzard blew in. When it cleared enough for them to go out, Snow could remember the smell of death hanging on the frozen wind. Just beside their stockpile of wood, lay a wolf. He was half starved, and immobile. The girls had had only to look at one another for the memory of their mothers pain to flash between them. The creature could not move itself, so the two girls grabbed one end each, and carried him in. They laid him before the meager fire, and Snow hunted the squirrels that fed them all as Rose covered him in blankets. They slept well for most of the winter, cuddling up to their fast growing friend at night as though he were a pet. Unfortunately, he revealed himself soon enough. The fire had been dying. Snow remembered Rose fetching the iron poker from the hearth, and moving to stir it. She remembered having her hand on the wolf's soft fur, and feeling a growling starting low in his chest as Rose moved to the fire. She had stirred the curtains on the window as she passes, letting the light of the moo spill across the floor and touch the wolf. That's when he exploded. He turned on Snow, stabbing his fangs into her leg. Rose had jumped between them, slamming the poker down on the wolf's head til he let Snow go. His claw had swiped Roses beautiful Ambrose colored eye, taking it with him as he pushed her back to the ground. Through the blood and pain, Rose had stabbed the beast, killing him with hardly any effort in the end. Snow had sobbed, seeing her sisters damaged face. But she had kept telling Rose over and over, how lovely she was, how smart and kind and brave, even as her sister wept, and screamed, as she cleaned and bandaged the wound. They skinned the wolf and ate what was left of his meat. The had fought hard for it, in the end. They had healed, both of them, and enjoyed many years of peace before it all changed again.[/tab] [Tab=Separate Ways] Seven years had gone by since the attack by the beast, when they found he had indeed been doubly damned. On the eve of their fifteenth birthday, Snow had complained of cramps. By this time they were regular visitors to the markets close by, taking their skins or meats to sell or trade, and neither of them were stupid. One did hear talk about such things as a woman's moon cycle. She figured (rightly) that this was the beginning. So she told Rose she was going hunting, and she'd return soon. She took her time, admiring the grey bleakness of the day, and listening to the chirping of the snow birds. She had wandered farther than usual that day, looking for a certain plant she would now need to stock to make the cramps bearable. The Sun had been setting when she started home, and when the moon began to climb into the sky, she lost consciousness. Her next clear memory was waking up, naked, Rose's worried face hovering above hers, asking where she'd been and what exactly had she been doing for three days? Had she been hurt? Why was she covered in dried blood? They were outside of a town Snow had never seen before. Rose handed her something to cover herself with and bid her hide in the shadow of the trees. There they waited, wondering if someone would come to find them. No one did, so Rose ventured into the town. When she returned she was pale indeed, and related to Snow that the mayor of the town had been murdered in the night by a large white wolf. That was when it came back. The hunt, the attack. She herself had killed this man and eaten his beating heart. She'd been stunned. Scared. Angry. But she'd found anger was her enemy that day. On their way home she had snapped a large Oak branch in half, as she listened to Rose recite the evils the man had committed in the town. When they were close to home, she had turned again. This time keeping enough control to keep from killing her beloved twin, but only just. She had instead taken out her rage by destroying their home. Rose had found her in the ruins the next day. They had hugged and cried. It was decided between them that they must split up for the first time I their lives. Rose had objected, swearing there had to be a cure and swearing to help Snow find it. But Snow couldn't risk her sisters life. Not for anything. Not even to keep both their hearts from breaking. "I love you too much. If I killed you, I'd have to kill myself. I couldn't bear it. Besides, this is just for now. Just until one of us funds a way for me to be safe again. They had cried when they parted. Rose had gone to seek a cure. Snow had wanted only solitude. A chance to learn to make herself safe to be around, to take the beast within. In the next four years, she found a kind of peace. She learned meditation, control, discipline, and to accept her change as a gift, instead of a curse. She learned to keep it in check, and how to release without losing herself. She has traveled far and wide, seeking solace. And at last, she is fairly certain she has found it.[/tab] [Tab=Repressed memories]While on the road away from Rose initially, Snow found herself making a friend. Deperate for human contact, she found in the wilds of the Taiji a gypsy girl. She didn't approach her at first, but stayed to her self. The girl, eventually, and unknown to Snow, began to track her. There was something about her which drew the gypsy girl, though it took nearly a full month for her to find out what it was. In an unguarded moment, the beast took Snow again, and she wrecked havoc on the surrounding area. Ranya, a young girl then, no older than Snow herself, lured the girl with kindness and the promise of a cure to her curse. She took her back to her family, and promptly drugged the hungry girl with her food. When Snow awoke, she was immobilized, strapped to a table and covered in leeches. The faces lf the other gypsies surrounded her hazy vision, as they came bearing needles to draw awsy yet more of her life's blood. She cried out, helpless against them. Whatever drug they had given her dulled her senses, and kept her weakened. Over the course of 3 months they would do this. Taking her blood nearly nightly. Until she resembled nothing so much as an emaciated corpse. She was skin and bones, pale weak, anemic. They feed her a steady ration of beef broth, even as they drank her blood in various ceremonies and paid no heed to her cries for help, weak as they were. On one such night, after her captors had fallen asleep from drinking and dancing. She was laying there, somehow less drugged than usual. Perhaps having built a tolerance of some sort after so many months of constant usage at the same dose. Whatever the case, one of the random men who had come to camp seeking a good time managed go spot her, hidden as she was from the wagons. Had she made a noise? Possibly. In any case he found her, and promptly threw up. She was skeletal, her hair almost falling out, her skin flaking away, her ribs and even eyesockets outlined with lose skin. She looked as a living skeleton might. She moved her fingers thogh, her toes. He undid the straps binding her, and promptly ran away. It was the greatest kindness and at once unkindness in her short life. She gathered strength, and rolled herself from the table as the first fingers of dawn light spread into the sky. She managed, somehow, to move. To crawl, scraping at the ground. She pulled herself, literally tooth and nail, into the village of Meira. There...A man visiting from the town of Queft found her, and spirited her into his own village. He nursed her, and became her mentor. And she again discovered life...never leaving that place until he died a year later.~ [/tab][/tabs] [Tabs][tab=Chapter 2]Is it really better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all? One may never know...[/tab][tab=Wolves & Fire]It started in Tamworth; a small out of the way nothing of a village in the northern part of Fiore. Or, right outside it rather, on a cold night. Seeking warmth, and on her way to investigate reports of killings in this small village, Snow stumbled into a camp. Well, more like walked into brazenly. She had found by a fire an older man, who directed her to a tent behind him. Nodding thanks, she had made her way toward it, plopping down once inside the exceptionally small shelter without ever thinking. When she was answered by an unexpected oath, she jumped up and away. At this point in her life, Snow still detested people. She still hated being touched. And even though she had been the one to accidentally invade someone's sleep, she had been offended immediately that she had been touched. (Even though she hadn't really.) Enter into her long life, one Ranth Amanite. He had been tousled and half asleep, and had spouted offensive things at her, which she had given right back. It had seemed that it wouldn't be a good night for her at that point, despite people stepping in, and the man by the fire, named Lark, confessing to his little joke. After a little an understanding was reached. They would share the tent, but only for the evening. And there would be no touching. After that things went fine, as far as the traveling at least. Ranth had not been a friend then, nor had he been more than a nuisance at that point. He had still been a smartass, sarcastic in the extreme, and Snow had expected fully to part ways with him in the end. She couldn't have been more wrong. The longer they stayed in Tamworth, the less she hated him, even when people mistook them for a couple. A smartass and sarcastic he might be, but he had her back on more than one occasion. He even bandaged her up, at the end when they faced the final foe, and she in turn covered up his secret. A tattoo marking him as belonging to Grimoire heart. They parted ways at the end of this, not exactly friends, but at least trusting of one another. Snow had thought this would be their only meeting, but fate, as it so often does, had other plans. It took time, as such things often do. Snow had many an adventure with Ranth before she began to realize that her feelings for him were, well, feelings at all aside from either apathy or friendship. She had no wish, ever to find herself under the sway of any male. Or female. She didn't want to become, in her words, "one of those idiotic twits who cannot function without someone standing beside them." But she ended up caring all the same. It started, most seriously, when he kissed her the first time, shortly after her induction into Grimoire Heart. Or really, it happened a bit before. When they were in the Taiji, and she had been forced to save him from certain death. Some part of her had known, even then, that what she felt for him wasn't her run of the mill everyday sort of thing. The thought of losing him had nearly broken her heart then and there. When he kissed her, drunk as a skunk, she had been moved. Or rathed, something had finally kindled fully in her heart. She didn't admit it, not even to herself, until much much later, when they had walked the bowels of hell together and saved all the world a few times over, and after a few "dates" in which they still ended up fighting people. At long last, the cold and distant Snow White, warmed to Ranth. And given that she was so much herself, she feel deeply, and hard. Her loyalties were always to him, her sun and moon, her everything. She would not understand though, how fully and truly she loved him, until it was time for him to be lost. [/tab] [tab=Amnesiac] It was only a little while, only a small step in time in which their paths wound together. So it felt, as Snow, in her last moments with Ranth, began to unravel. She had loved him so wholly, in the end, that to lose him threatened to break her completely. And that is what the Order of the Codex wanted to do; take him from her completely, return him to some docile and dormant form from which the soul that was her Ranth had been born. She fought with all of her strength against it, though in the end, the strength she bore was not even enough to keep herself from falling to pieces. She could not have saved him, anymore than she might have saved herself. And yet...And yet...At the end, she found that he was still the one doing the saving. He was as yet the one who was piecing things back together when they had broken. Ranth, scared for the sanity of his beloved without him, took it upon himself to lock away her memories of their time together. He bound them up, in a place which cannot be found until the two souls are reunited again. Now, when Snow strolls the halls of Grimoire Heart, she is troubled by the deja vu she often experiences, is often lost to all thought as she feels sensations of loss she cannot comprehend creep in on her. Further, her Guildmates end up pissing her off daily, as any mention of Ranth and his connection to Snow herself send her into fits of pain. She knows, somewhere in her core, that she is meant to know him. The mind refuses to say for sure, as it could just as easily shatter her again. But it cannot stay as such....She will, eventually, begin to remember again. As she grows stronger, so shall her will to remember it all. And I'd choose you; In a hundred lifetimes, In a hundred worlds, In any version of reality. I'd find you. And I'd choose you. [/tab] [tab=Memory and Moving on] Having been put through what amounted to trial by her guildmates, Snow eventually regained her memory. In doing so, she found that she had every memory of the man known as Ranth, from the first to the last. She still couldn't give satisfactory answer as to why he died, but she could at last begin the process of mourning him properly. She didn't have a funeral, nor was a memorial held in the halls of Grimoire Heart. People still muttered darkly that she was somehow involved in his death. That hurt. So did the people who said she was blameless. She might have been, but she couldn't quite figure out what she had done to fail him. She had, instead, grown an even more complex issue with failing. She was right, she surmised, when she said people she loved died around her. Her mother, her mentor, possibly Rose, and definitely Ranth. That was all the people she had ever truly loved in her short lifetime. In this, if nothing else, she had been shown that she needed to grow even stronger. She needed to become invincible. Even as her mind whispered that wasn't possible, it was what she would strive for. Now she was faced with a guild full of people who either looked at her with pity, or with hate. As well as the nooks and crannies of the guild itself which seemed to hold one memory or another of the laughing face she had grown to love so well. All in all it proved to be too painful for her to even walk the halls. She had distracted herself with missions, or assignments of more simple nature, but none of it had ended up helping her nearly enough. In fact, it had worked to convince her that she wasn't as welcome by the higher ups in the guild as she might once have been. In the end, she got a life saving invitation. From an old friend named Artorius Sidonis, who had also left the guild. She had accepted with little reservation and entered yet another new chapter in her life. Leaving her old home behind, she settles readily into a new life in the Nine Lives Guild. It is smaller by far, but it is home nonetheless. While only one person here is yet her friend, and another is decidedly an old enemy, she hopes that starting over will clear her mind somewhat. Now she needs to wait, and see what this new life will hold for her. A higher purpose, surely. A possible death, yes. Now it's simply time to move on, and try to keep herself from ever finding someone she loves as more than a friend ever again. [/tab] [/tabs] ![]() Friends & Other Such Enemies

Armor: Name: Protective Mantle Class: A Description: Mage is covered in a thick layer of fur, covering most exposed areas of her body. Effect/Function:Snow White is covered in pure white fur of the Arctic wolf all over her body while in TO form. This light beam, or hyperbeam, is directed at a single target, causing catastrophic damage if it hits. The drawback being it can only travel in a straight line, though this may be any direction (up down left right). The target must fall within the 100 meter range, as the beam dissipates once outside of said range. They are sentient, but cannot perform more than the most basic of orders. (Attack, Guard etc.) They cannot track prey other than targets specified by the mage, and may only go where they are directed by the caster, or carry out what orders she gives at this rank. As they rank progresses so does the capability and range of each creature. Though it becomes easier to control them as the spell ranks up, they never become fully sentient beings. They are able to spotted as clones of the mage by anyone with an accuracy equal to, or higher than her own, or 80 or above, or if they have a spell which dispells illusion. Duration:5 or until destroyed Cooldown: 3 [/color] Rank progression Heightened senses-(10) Type: Passive Range: Self Effect: This technique grants Snow senses which are superior to those of most humans. This is always in effect, and is quite simple really. She can hear sounds too high to reach the ears of a human, and farther away than they can. It also heightens her vision to some extent, making gray blobs of shadow in complete darkness into definable shapes for her. She can also smell better than the average person, able to discern singular scents out of many, or to track someone (to some extent, unless her senses are thrown off by say water) if she has something with their scent on it, or is familiar with said scent. Overall only useful for hunting and tracking really, this is always active reguardless of whether or not she is in TO form, since it is inherent in her blood rather than a magic she has to use actively. Healing Light (10) [Range:Personal Type: Supportive Effect: While in wolf form, Snow can use her saliva to heal wounds. This is because of the innate ability of most canine's to clean a wound, but is moreso due to the magical capability. Concentrating moknlight into her saliva, she can lick a wound and heal up to 2 Critical injuries, 6 severe injuries, and 6 serious wounds, and so on and so forth. When this takes effect, the person being healed, either an ally or Snow herself, will see a soft pale light coalesce around the wound, healing it instantly. This can be done as many times as needed, dependant upon the severity of the wound, per post active. Duration 2 posts Cool down 4 posts. Blood Rights(10) Range 60m radius Type AoE Effect With a soft set of sounds, growls and yips, a circle comes into being beneath Snow. This circle, for all intents and purposes, is a trap to all enemies. It walls them in, as though it were a dome sheild, allowing them to break free only if they have strength stat equivalent or greater than Snow's own, or their magic rank is higher and can break the wall. The wall, as well as the circle, are blood red, casting a strange glow on the white wolf in the epicenter, and giving her a menacing appearance. Once the wall is up, Snow can howl, and the circle will begin moving upwards. As it does, it deals magical [rank 10] damage to whomever is trapped inside. Not only that, but once the circle has reached its apex, it comes back down, dealing [rank - 2 damage] to all inside. Snow must charge this effect for 1 post once it is activated for the circle to move. If the wall is broken, or the charge interrupted, it will instantly end the duration. Should she succeed, the technique ends once the circle has settled back benenath her. Duration: 3 posts unless ended early Cooldown: 4 Strength of the Pack (10) Type: Support Range: 95m Effect: When Snow uses this particular howl in wolf form, it grants a bonus to all allies in the area, so long as they are within range. It has no effect on Snow herself whatsoever. For a duration of 4 posts at this rank, this ability infuses any allies within range with extra hitting power. And blows dealt to an enemy while this is in effect deal an additional damage ratio equivalent to a rank 5 attack (either magical or physical). This (additional damage) can be done once per post that the effect is active, and is usable on up to 4 allies at this rank, so long as they are within range. Duration: 4 Posts Cooldown: 3Posts White-wash (10) Range: 100m Type: PBAoE (Offensive) Description Using the moonlight part of her magic, Snow can, while in wolf form, concentrate said light around herself. She makes a series of wolfish noises, which seems to call the light forth from all corners of the land, gathering around her and illuminating her white figure. Once she is done, all the light is expending in one large outward explosion, which deals devastating damage to anyone she deems an enemy who happens to fall within the 100 meter range. She can do this in a singular post. Duration: 1 post Cooldown: 2 posts Guard (10) Range: Personal Type: Shield Effect: Exactly as it implies, this is a shielding technique. It is summoned as one of the many variations on moonlight that Snow can use while in wolf form. It hardens as it coalesces before her. As of this rank, the shield in question can stop some very strong strikes or a single overwhelming strike before being exhausted. The shield itself is around 15 meters in length, and 15 meteres in height. While it is a personal shield, there's nothing to stop allies from hiding behind it as well where applicable. Duration: 3 posts or until exhausted Cooldown: 2 posts [/tab][/tabs] |

Keeper of the Balance --10 Type: Gravity Manipulation Tier: 1 Description: As Snow found out after her sojourn in the otherworld, it is a magic which grants her the ultimate ability to balance everything around her. This isn't limited to making things heavier or lighter, but also effects the density of objects hurled at her, or that she touches when she so desires. While there are quite a few offensive capabilities to this magic, there are also a surprising amount of defensive capabilities as well. Technique Examples: And then there were None: Type: AoE Range: Some ridiculous amount of distance in a radius. Effect: Probably the most basic offensive measure in a gravity mage's arsenal, this involves increasing the density of all object within x amount of distance, until they are virtually squished flat, bowed beneath their own weight. At this rank, it can deal catastrophic damage to any person place or thing that Snow wishes it to. As a boon, it can also be used selectively, by leaving out allies as she uses it, lest she kill friend and foe alike. The circle, with her at the epicenter, moves with her as she moves. This amount of damage can be done once per post until the CD comes into effect. Must have (y) amount of Power to endure the technique without coming to harm. Soften the Blow Type Defensive Range A lot of it Effect: One of the less standard techniques Snow now posses, this is used to decrease the density or gravitational effect of any object below (x) class, and can soften to some extent any item of (y) class, making them far less useful tools against the wielder of this magic. Orbital Halt Type Defensive (Sheilding) Range: X meters high, Y meters long Effect: Using this technique creates a shield of sorts. Anything hurled at it would be stopped, or at the least deflected, When used in conjuncture with Soften the Blow, she becomes nigh unreachable by either techniques or weaponry. Stop and Start: Type: Offensive/Defensive Range Hella Effect: Using her efficiency with gravity, Snow can stop a projectile which is heaved at her, as long as it uses anything with mass, by lightening its density exponentially, making it light as a feather for her. As well, once this has happened, she can use her finger or her breath to redirect the projectile, sending it in whatever direction she chooses. As she does so, it will regain the lost density as she increases gravity around it. This gives the opportunity for the original attack to turn back on its user. Though the distance the projectile can travel will be halved. Air Walk Type: Utility/Passive Range: Personal Effect: Able to constantly and without thought shift the gravity around herself, Snow can easily decrease or increase her mass at will with little thought. Gravity itself has become her bitch, and she can now walk on air (up to x meters), or walk on any solid surface, even turning herself upside down if she so wishes, or climbing the side of a building simply by moving. Earth's Embrace (suplex into the center of the earth) Type: Offensive Range: x Effect: By increasing the mass of a single object, she can force it to break into the earth's crust by simple applied gravity. As she does this, laying her hand on the object or person can quite easily force them past the earth's crust, down toward the Burning center. Even if they never reach the center of the earth, Snow doesn't let the gravity up, and they will soon find themselves suffering from catastrophic damage. Hand-gun Type: Offensive Range: V Effect: Snow can pick up nearly any solid object which fits into the palm of her hand, coins, beads, glass, diamonds etc, and turn them into deadly weapons. By mimicking her Stop and Start technique, she makes projectiles. She can control up to 8 at a time at this rank, and is able to send them flying for x meters toward any single or multiple targets she wishes. The simple act turns them into bullets for her own usage, for all intents and purposes. Note: She can only target a single target with a single projectile at a time. Each singular projectile deals (below catastrophic) damage on impact. Type: Offensive Range: Over there Effect: A particularly gruesome technique, Snow uses her magic in order to make separate parts of the body weigh different amounts. By doing so, and then suddenly either releasing the pent up gravity, or strengthening it, she can tear an enemy apart. (Must have x Power to resist.) At this rank this deals catastrophic damage, and can pretty much kill anyone not strong enough to withstand the forces put into play. Still want this one most though Slingshot Type: Dash Range: Some Effect: By picking a point in a straight line ahead of her, Snow can increase the gravity in that one spot. This creates a sort of black hole effect, though it effects no one but herself. By creating her small black hole, she can slingshot herself, basically, to that point before closing the hole. She gains a speed buff of X while doing so, which can pull her out of a tight spot, or put her into one, whichever she needs. Featherfall Type: Utility Range: Who knows Effect: Using this ability, Snow can keep a comrade from falling to their death from a high place, or just a bad fall. Or she can lift them up to a certain degree, by simply playing with their gravity. She can make them as light as she wants, or steadily increase their gravity to bring them back down to earth safely. Guardian of Balance Type: Energy Manipulation Tier: 1 Description: After her sojourn in the Otherworld, Snow was given her sister's half of the power they were meant to have shared from the beginning as one being. As such, she is now considered a guardian of balance. This means she is the incarnation of both creation and destruction which were their separate powers in the beginning. Now, she can control raw magical power; both her own, and to some extent that of others. She can create many things by drawing on raw energy to turn it into magic. She can also stop magic to some extent, by using the same power. This being harder to control, she uses far less of it. Still, both creation and destruction are able to use a variety of utility, defensive and offensive attacks in order to keep the Balance of all things. Examples (all rank 10, total of 9 available) Creation Theory Every act of destruction is also and act of creation, is it not? Type: AoE Range: TBD Effect: Simply stated, this technique allows Snow to manipulate raw magical energy which is drawn from inside herself in order to create a large radius of magical energy. This energy is able to at once destroy that which it comes into contact with on her demand. Anything that she deems in need of destruction is leveled, or dealt Catastrophic damage, on impact. With Snow at the epicenter, this radius of destruction will move with her. All Men are Equal Type: Defensive / anti-magic/ nullification /absorption / idfk Range: A bunch Effect: When someone uses magic against Snow, she can absorb, or nullify, the initial spell which is sent her way. This works on magic up to rank x without a problem. Even above that level, it can negate the damage intended by y posts. This isn't, to be clear, limited to when she is attacked. And magic that is in her presence, be it a shield, or an AoE, she can absorb to some extent. This is useful as she can then power up her next technique with what she takes from her opponent. Throwback Type: Offensive Range: A bit Effect: Drawing on the power gained from All Men are Equal, Snow can use said power (note this is really only flavor, but this technique cannot be used without first using the other.) to create a bright ball of energy. She can choose to expend this all at once, causing catastrophic damage to whichever target she finds suitable, or she may break it into smaller pieces, each of which are about the size of a basketball. Each of these would by able to do catastrophic damage to each enemy they came in contact with, though it could only be done once per post. A Feast for Crows Type: Offensive/Sort of AoE I guess? Range: TBD Effect: Snow can use her magic in order to create large (I'll magic up numbers later) pieces of shrapnel. They are numerous, even though they are small, and can be cast forward by the mage in order to deal catastrophic damage to several targets at the same time. These small pieces of shrapnel will cause rends in the flesh of her enemies, and with any luck, will actually rip them to shreds. Crows for the Feast Type: Uhm. Range: Not that far. Effect: Using her creation magic, once she has cast a feast for crows, the pieces of shrapnel will draw back in on themselves, creating a murder of phantom crows (no more than 10). These things lack even the intelligence of real crows, and instead are fixated only on making worse what was done in the previous technique. They do (lethal) damage with phantom beaks and claws, rending further only wounds that are left bleeding. It is to be noted, however, that either of these techniques can easily be case on their own. Higher Walls Type: Defensive Range: Personal Effect: By using her creation magic, Snow makes a personal shield, which can withstand x strong strikes, and y weak strikes, as well as the ability to withstand x rank of magical attacks before exhausting itself. Turn the Tide Type: Defensive/Reflective Range:Uhm Effect: Just as is stated, Snow's magic can reflect a technique thrown at her, giving a good opportunity for it to return to the original caster in a form of defense as well as attack. The distance traveled backward is, of course, halved. |
