"We're here."
Dialga's diamond and fins lost their blue glow as time resumed normal flow, it's human companion opening his eyes as it spoke.
"And where is here, exactly?" The man, surrounded by a dimming blue light himself, slowly and carefully landed beside it's floating form. The floor beneath him began to crumble even under his delicate footing however, and he quickly decided climbing onto the colossal pokémon was a safer bet.

Upon reaching Dialga's back, he felt a lot safer to survey the area now, and his jaw dropped at at the sight before them. They were amongst a stream of archaic, broken structures that were suspended in the air by forces unknown. Looking to where he had initially landed he could see a white marble pillar, perhaps taller than Goldenrod's radio tower, with one corner of the top freshly flaked off. Rubble, remnants of past impacts, floated in place beside it, free of it's fate of falling into the abyss below. Many similar pillars surrounded the two, appearing to move upwards at a slow, slow pace.
Looking up revealed the full moon, bright even behind the mist that filled the air. It appeared considerably larger than was ever possible on Earth, and it's looming presence sent chills down his spine.

Dialga craned it's neck to look at a stone cliff, towering above everything else within the realm. "The realm of Origin," it growled, and the man followed it's gaze.
What he saw made him feel a little embarrassed that he noted the ruins first, as this was far more remarkable. There, stood a creature - A pokémon - It's form slim, elegant and white as the heavens above. It was still and silent on it's golden hooves, as if waiting for something.

"A-Arceus?" He whispered, though figuring it could probably sense their presence already, "Well, this is something I never thought I'd ever see, but... Why Arceus? Will it know where Celebi is? You know. That's the reason we're doing this."
The Temporal pokémon simply ignored his companion now, annoying him a little. "Dialga... Please answer me."
"Look."
"I am... I'm looking right at it. What-"

Wait, wait...
Something wasn't right here. Those long, thin arms...
But of course, the one thousand arms of Arceus, the exact ones Arceus used to shape the universe. They appeared nearly exactly as he imagined them to be; translucent, thin glass. The subtle rainbow light shining through them was a surprise, however.
But what were the other, larger arms? The ones glowing brighter than the moon itself? Arceus appeared to be clashing with another other entity in front of it, and atonishingly enough it wasn't doing so well.

Dialga looked deep in thought under him, and before he found the will to speak everything happened at once. Arceus let out an otherwordly shriek as giant hands slipped around it's body and slowly pulled it into a thick, gooey nothingness. Despite being heavily weakened the divine creature struggled greatly even as it vanished, refusing to give in even after the very end.

Dialga's reaction was instant, darting towards the hostile being that had just claimed it's master and letting out a massive Roar of Time, eyes glowing bright orange as anger took over. His companion was lucky to be already holding on for dear life as this happened. The entity before them recoiled greatly at the ambush, hands flailing and smashing several crumbling piece of architecture, before regaining it's form and throwing arms tight around it's attacker, clamping it's jaw shut in the process. The pokémon was no stronger than the one before it, and quickly became helpless as white energy consumed it. This... thing, it was unimaginable how much power it had, to render two gods helpless so quickly.

The human had barely any time to process what was happening before Dialga spoke to him inside his mind. Jump.

"Dialga...!" He screamed, though it came out as a squeaky gasp.
We'll meet again one day, I promise. But you will have to take this journey alone. Jump off me, now!

The pokémon used all of it's strength to buck upwards and send the man flying off it's body, screaming and desperately attempting to grab anything that would keep him with his friend. It was too late. He could only watch helplessly as the image of Dialga disappearing became smaller and smaller, until it was only collapsed pillars speeding past him. Squeezing his eyes shut from the stinging tears, his entire body rumbled with laugh so full of hate and malevolence that he would remember it for years to come.

DISTORTING THE FLOW OF TIME COULDN'T KEEP YOU SAFE FOREVER.
