I also watched the third installment of this trilogy last night on AMC. Pacino was stellar, as usual. Andy Garcia was good, I think, as "Vincent". The most powerful scene for me was the ending, on the steps, regarding Michael Corleone and the ultimate fate of his daughter.

I get a little confused on the time-line of the third film. I've heard this is supposed to be taking place in 1979? I just thought given the years of the first and second films, Michael and Kay's children would have been older than they appear in the third film.

I was quite surprised by the ending, myself. Michae's sister, Connie (Talia Shire) certainly changed dramatically over the course of the three films, didn't she?
