In 1966 Tsuburaya Prod. released Ultraman. The story: an interstellar law enforcement agent, while in pursuit of escaped monster Bemlar in the Earth's atmosphere, accidentally collides with a vessel piloted by Hayata, a member of The Science Patrol, killing the human. To make amends Ultraman merges his lifeforce with Hayata, and together, along with the rest of the Science Patrol members, Captain Muramatsu, Arashi, Ide(Ito), and Fuji, they fight menacing aliens and kaiju that threaten the world! --Post your thoughts and opinions of the original series here.
