When I was a member of the Monster Zero discussion forums I started a topic thread in which I suggested that even if Ultraman's color timer had not been damaged...Zeton would have defeated him anyway. I asked other members for their take on this: some agreed with me and some suggested Ultraman would have won had his color timer not been damaged. My reasoning as to why I believe Ultraman would have lost to Zeton anyway: Zeton appeared to be the aggressor in their fight in episode 39 of the original "Ultraman" series, and though Zoffy later told Ultraman in the sphere that his powers exceeded Zeton's I'm still somewhat skeptical of this declaration. Zeton appeared to have an answer for every action of Ultraman in their fight, and the fact he took Ultraman by surprise, absorbing Ultraman's spacium beam and redirecting it back into Ultraman's chest, lends me to think Ultraman was overconfident and perhaps too haphazard in his concentration during this battle...which would benefit Zeton. Opinions of this? |
