Just watched this film again. My impression hasn't changed much, but that's not really a bad thing. I believe this movie, while having some corny comical touches was paced well and is a great introductory film for young viewers. I still love the scene where Godzilla emerges on the baby Minya and Kamacuras and kicks their butts to rescue the baby. I thought the "puppeteering" of the Kaiju bugs was handled well and their movements were believable. I don't get annoyed by Minya like many people do so I enjoyed his scenes, as cheesy as they were, I have a soft spot for the scene where Godzilla "teaches" Minya to breathe the full ray and not just the atomic rings. After seeing that movie at 4 or 5 years old, I never forgot that scene for some reason. Alot of the human acting was over the top in this one but I think it falls into play with the rest of the younger aim of this film. The snow scene at the end still pulls at the heartstings for me, even now. :)
