The Abominable Snowman-I had to watch this wonderful Hammer effort after packmule discussed the film. I'm always up for a Hammer film and this film is one of Hammer's strongest early efforts, in my opinion. Everything 'clicks' in this film and makes for a great viewing experience. Where Eagles Dare-I adore this film, I believe one of the bits that's used to describe this film.....'One of the greatest WWII films that never really took place.'. The scenery is gorgeous, the acting is excellent and plenty of great action and suspense to keep you glued to your seat. The Giant Claw-OK, so it may be one of the all-time worse films ever made, but I still love it. Mr Green No amount of arguing as to why I shouldn't like this film has ever been able to sway my opnion of the film. I guess it is perhaps one of those films that's so bad, it's good. I really don't have to make an effort to sit down and enjoy this film. OK, I have been told on more than one occasion that all my taste must be in my mouth, given the kind of films I enjoy, but I don't care. |
