I bought Hostel(Unrated cut)(2006) today and watched it. As advertised it is pretty intense and has some scenes of graphic violence, extreme gore, brutal torture and an abundance of disturbing images. The story revolves around two young American backpackers who start out on a carefree odyssey in Eastern Europe, smoking weed and having carnal relations with various members of the fairer sex-their trip takes a turn for the worse when they are lured into a facility that houses an underground business specializing in torture/murder for profit.(no spoilers). Interesting film. If you are a fan of slasher horror this one is a keeper(buy it) like I did. For casual fans of this genre it would make a good rental or purchased used(at a discount). The DVD has plenty of extras-Previews(trailers of other films), several great director and producer audio commentaries, a short featurette on the "making-of" this movie, and scene selection. It has English and French subtitles, is in anamorphic widescreen(2.35:1) and in 5.1 audio.

What sold me on buying this DVD was the website of the movie: Hostel
