Baragon's appearance--although brief--stole the show.

I also liked seeing Baragon back on the big screen, his last cinematic appearance a laughably brief shot in 1968's Destroy All Monsters. Baragon, though ultimately blasted into oblivion by Godzilla in this film, shows great courage and tenacity in his battle with Godzilla, a refreshing change from his previous on-screen appearances-recall that in 1965's Frankenstein Conquers The World he is unceremoniously jacked up by the 60 foot tall Franken-boy giant, and his shot in 1968's Destroy All Monsters is so brief as to make one wonder why he was even included in this film at all... confused

Yup! Baragon's tenacity give him a real lovable quality--much like the Showa era's Angilas.
