Indeed. His voice during the initial release of Mechagodzilla from it's subterranean base=decidedly unscientific, possibly urban hillbilly groink!

Indeed...open rawker awrms... Asimov looks like the scientist in this film, to be sure: portly gait, graying, somewhat unkempt hair, glasses, and the drab clothing one might associate with an individual who has been holed up inside a subterranean laboratory for way too long. His voice is an absolute contradiction and sounds like one part South Carolina, one part Georgia, and two parts Kentucky. :unsure:
