Nice article. I liked the part about the flash drives, that is my hope for the next form of media. With no moving parts it would be so much easier to take care of as opposed to discs that can get scratched and skip. I was thinking about the download thing, but honestly I really dont see that one happening anytime soon. There really just arent enough people yet that have internet or even computers, let alone credit cards to buy the movies online. Besides, I think right now, people feel more comfortable with owning a "boxed" film as opposed to paying online and owning a file of a movie on a hard drive. The sense of ownership really isnt the same. It would save space in your house, though. |
