Oh, I use my TV and DVD players to watch my films as a rule, but the computer problems took so much time trying to figure out that any DVD viewing was taking a back seat. Things have been so crazy here, anyway, I still have little time to watch much of anything, but here are a few recent viewings I've had....

Rat Patrol-Grabbed the first season of this classic TV series on DVD and I've been enjoying the episodes. I actually purchased this set as a 'blind-buy', but the cast certainly is strong and being just a half-hour format really forces the episodes to pack a lot of punch in a short amount of time, so thumbs up so far!

Poseidon-Actually went to the theatre to see this update/remake and while it wasn't a horrible effort, it lacked a lot of the human interest of the original film. You really got to know very little about the main cast of characters, which is a shame, but some of the action sequences were quite good and the CGI effects weren't overdone and those used were OK. Decent popcorn film, IMO.

Brides of Dracula-An excellent film from Hammer Studios and easily one of my many favorites from the studio. Peter Cushing is always in top form in any film, but really shines in this film as Van Helsing. I love the look of this film, saturated with deep and vibrant colors, a most interesting story line and some eerie scenes make this a must-see, IMO.

Day of the dead-The third film in the Romero trilogy and actually, I have a lot of fun with this film. Certainly has it's fair share of gore and not a bad effort, for my money.
