I agree with you, and let me add that I allowed myself to become part of the very feuding that you mention, so much so that it resulted in me being banned from TK and Kaijuphile, which I accept responsibility for, and also some of the blame, but not all. It also resulted in me requesting, and receiving, membership terminations at Tokyomonsters forum and Kaiju Galaxy. I will not go into more specifics because it is water under the bridge. There are many, many good people at all of the aforementioned forums, and the sites themselves are I think all very good. There are no doubt many individuals on the major site forums that will continue to talk about others in a derogatory manner-I have been, and may still be, the subject of some of those conversations. I took a deep breath, considered why I was getting angry with other members on these boards, and made a decision to maintain myself at all times on the internet, regardless of the nature of the discussion, disagreement, or argument. For some people this comes easy, and for others, me included, it does not. I hope that these squabbles and other frictions within the fandom decrease. :rolleyes: |
