So that's why JD Lees always trashes GMK! Ah-ha! Anyway, about Godzilla internet fandom. It's a real shame. We've really created schizms and cliques for ourselves throughout the community, haven't we? I wonder if the lack of new Godzilla films has created a kind of malaise in the community. We don't really have anything new to discuss, or any common interests outside of the Big G, so we turn to gossip. Also, there are a few egos in the community as well. People who think they're the biggest fish in this little pond we call G-Fandom. Another possibility is the fanbase itself is comprised of a lot of young, immature kids who have nothing better to do than invade other people's boards and cause havoc. There's a lot of factors for this schizm and I'm sure it's a combination of some or all the above comments. |
