In 1966 Toho released Ebirah Horror Of The Deep, aka Godzilla Vs The Sea Monster. IMO an underrated film. You have a little bit of everything here: a mysterious island, the requisite "bad-guys" in The Red Bamboo, Ebirah, a gigantic arthropod with a very unpleasant disposition, a giant condor, Mothra(adult form-near the end of the film), and of course the monster king himself, Godzilla. My only real knock on this film was the condition of the G suit, which was really starting to show some sag...Post your thoughts and reviews of this film here. :) |
