I learned something yesterday. A desendant of George Washington and a historian came to our church and spoke(dressed as Patrick Henry ) about the Christian haritage of our country. Non-religious people are unfortunately trying to erase the Christian heritage from our textbooks. Ben Franklin(a deist) said this:"Our country is best founded upon a system of Christian principles." It says nothing about "separation of church & state" in the DoI, this term is from a letter Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Convention. Not until 1965 were people complaining about school prayer, and that's when crime went up coincidentially. |
