Personally, I don't think Robert Englund is too old to play the role of "Freddy Krueger" either. The franchise won't be the same without him.

Well I agree he isn't too old...particularly under all that burn make-up...I mean it's Robert Englund that made made the role so iconic and to fire him from it is just an insult. I was never a fan of Micheal Bay....I've always kinda seen him as a hack but as a horror buff his has really crossed a line.

Nightmare 2 in all truthfulness was my least favorites as I felt it seemed kind of lackluster and had muddy cinematography that's more like what you'd see in a Telemovie....and the biggest problem is it's embarrassingly unintentional homo erotic undertones like the towel whipping scene...I don't know what they were thinking on that one.
