I really liked Nightmare on Elm Street 3...while not as good as the original I found really followed it up well as it's a more direct sequel then number 2, with returning characters and what not. This film I felt was the only one that could properly juggle both the horror and comedy elements. I found the sequels after this to undermine Nancy's achievements that cost her life which is why I felt that number 4 was an unfocused sequel which after all the Dream Warrior's were killed there weren't any Elm Street children left and the film just plodded along pointlessly.
