Fan Of The Evil Dead Trilogy

***SPOILERS IN REVIEWS*** before I begin, I give Grievous (A Member from another forum) credit for the inspiration for my Review corner.  Anyway the first film Im reviewing is THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD!  The Character development The Thing's hand design The Special effects (Good for its time) The Humor (While not that funny, it does put a smile on my face) The film Editing (The films editing was done well) The Score How it combines Horror and Sci-fi nicely The Thing's Intelligence  The Thing's Head design (Its far to similar to Boris Karloff's Frankenstein head design) The Thing wearing clothing (why is a plant alien lifeform wearing clothing?) The pacing in some parts was slow As the characters fly over the Flying Saucer Crash zone, you can see a small black squarish-object at the far right of the screen on the ice (It looks like studio equipment) My top 3 favorite scenes: 1: Death of The Thing 2: The Thing behind the closed door 3: The Flying Saucer blows up My Favorite Tagline: "Where Did It Come From? How Did It Get Here? WHAT IS IT?!" My Favorite quote: Ned "Scotty" Scott: "Watch the skies, everywhere! Keep looking.. Keep watching the skies!" My Rating: 9/10 |
