I have a decent sized comics collection from childhood, and kept some of them in great condition, while the ones from my single digit days are pretty worn. But I was never a big collector, more of a reader. I never worried too much about the value. I collected Marvel and DC for a bit, but mostly Spider-man. When Image and Valiant came around in the early 90's, I picked up alot of that stuff too, I have most of the early Spawn comics, and quite a few of the Maxx and Shadowhawk as well. For Valiant, I was big on Turok. Recently I've wanted to get back into comics but they are just so expensive nowadays. If I had the cash though, I'd be buying em up all the time. I was so interested in the Marvel Civil War story I went out and picked up the graphic novel. It was pretty good. Watching Captain America lay the smack down on Punisher was odd but satisfying. |
