He's up there with Rod Sterling (the Twilight Zone and the first Planet of the Apes writer) in my book. Both could entice you with their writing and turn you on your head at the end. My favorites by Hitchcock are: Psycho Rear Window Vertigo Dial M for Murder (I LOVE!!! THE SCENE AT THE TENNIS COURT!) Rear Window Man Who Knew Too Much North by Northwest and Birds On a side note I also avidly watched Alfred Hitchcock presents and the Hitchcock hour on TV Land when it aired.
