I have a decent sized comics collection from childhood, and kept some of them in great condition, while the ones from my single digit days are pretty worn. But I was never a big collector, more of a reader. I never worried too much about the value. I collected Marvel and DC for a bit, but mostly Spider-man. When Image and Valiant came around in the early 90's, I picked up alot of that stuff too, I have most of the early Spawn comics, and quite a few of the Maxx and Shadowhawk as well. For Valiant, I was big on Turok.

Recently I've wanted to get back into comics but they are just so expensive nowadays. If I had the cash though, I'd be buying em up all the time. I was so interested in the Marvel Civil War story I went out and picked up the graphic novel. It was pretty good. Watching Captain America lay the smack down on Punisher was odd but satisfying.

Nice collection. I didn't really mention the non-DC/Marvel comics due to people not really reading them. I love Valiant's Turok and the Maxx series (loved the cartoon too). I've been getting into Robert Kirkman's Invincible as of late too. Love some Alan Moore stuff like Top Ten.

You're spot on with the cost of comic books. I've actually had to put my video gaming on hold due to the cost of everything.
