Got it yesterday and barely had a chance to play it. It's so good in the sense that you literally are living the life of an illegal immigrant hitman in New York City. Everything from the realistic physics (if you crash at a high speed you WILL fly out of the windshield), new and improved camera and aiming and little touches and additions they put in make the city come to life. You have a cell phone you can use to full functionality (can even change and buy new themes and ringtones), you can browse the internet, you can call 911 if you want to, New Yorkers are smoking and reading outside instead of standing around, and everything is active. The story is surprisingly deep (so far). I really enjoy the single player. I have yet to play online multiplayer yet. You can free roam the entire city, deathmatch, territories, Co-Op, and Cops and Robbers type game apparently. I'll probably play online come Fri or Sat. Overall it's great but not perfect. So far (like I said, I'm not too far) you can't enter as many buildings or stores as San Andreas (maybe I'm just missing them but I can't find that many). Also the lack of LAN multiplayer annoys me. I hate some of the people on X-box live and I rarely play on LIVE. I'd much rather just get my friends on a lag free LAN in my house to just fool around in free roam to see how long we can last on a building with sniper rifles and rocket launchers on 6 stars. Other than that, it's a near perfect game. I'm loving it. |
