very funny

Was your disdain about this movie because of the acting, the sets, the score, or the fact Harrison Ford is now old enough to subscribe to AARP benefits and is trying to do most of his own stunts?

Harrison Ford's age 64 I believe isn't the problem with the film as he manages to still hold his own...and I have nothing against aging action heroes...hell I even liked A View to a Kill, and John Williams score was fine but seemed uninspired compared to his usual...still a bad John Williams score is pretty much better then nearly anyone else can do.

The problems are in pretty much every other area. Shia LaBeouf is absolutely dreadful as indy's son....as all he seemed to do is try and do a James Dean impersonation...and not a very good one at that. Also other then Indy the characters just don't hold any interest including the incredibly flat villains and even Marion Ravenwood just wasn't as interesting a second time round (more due to writing).

The special effects are over loaded with CGI and not only does that ruin any chance of nostalgic charm....the CGI here is just particularly Bad and the action scenes are just way too ludicrous....I mean they always were but here it's so much to the point it takes you out of it and aren't at all gripped by it....very much the opposite as it also feels like Spielberg himself didn't much like the script and went through the motions only due to his friendship with Lucas.

But the part that this film really fails in it's awful script....I'll be giving you some spoilers and if you read them remember I'm NOT lying!!!:

1. [spoil]Indy survives a Nuclear test by climbing into a fridge which gets blown miles away. Not only that but he gets out and watches the mushroom cloud![/spoil]

2. [spoil]Jones's son catches upto a car and escapes killer CGI Monkeys by swinging from vines like Tarzan[/spoil]

3. [spoil]The Crystal Skull is really an interdimentional alien skull....yes really![/spoil]

There is plenty more stuff like that through out the whole film which make you wanna rip off your own leg and beat your own head it with it...that are 3 of the main ones though...also there is some reallt bad dialog in it too but that's harder to remember.
