Especially that full-page photograph of Ultraman doing his specium beam... yes, the one that I always use as my avatar! Originally, I submitted a 90,000-word manuscript to Chronicle Books and we had to cut it down to 50,000. So, as you can imagine, the Ultraman section was much beefier with more behind-the-scenes details about the production, including original casting choices for the series (very different than what we got). I've decided to save that material for a future project. :) Johnny Rod Feb 20 2008, 05:44 PM specium beam... The official English spelling is "Spacium" as noted in my book--we discussed every aspect of names and how they would be rendered, and all of which were approved by Tsuburaya Productions--can't get more official than that! :) Cheers!
