Chapter 6: Nuclear Fire Everything was in chaos. Flames shot throughout the forest, spreading deadly radiation. Timber fell and crashed, and atomic shockwaves tore through the area, leveling foliage and further unleashing radiation. The Angilasaur had leapt into a lake just as the missile struck, and was blasted further into the water by the shockwave. Under the surface, it twisted in pain as unnatural changes wracked it’s body. Back on land, meanwhile, the Gojirasaur was undergoing an even more fatal battle. The therapod rushed through the burning forests, it’s footsteps shaking the ground. A nearby burst of nuclear flames exploded outward, and the Gojirasaur was forced to dive aside. However, the flames continued to spread, and a sudden explosion caused a burning branch to soar through the air before grazing right across the dinosaur’s back, leaving behind a noticeable cut. But deep within the wound, on a microscopic level, tiny, single-celled organisms were gathering together. These “Organizer Cells”, which resembled tri-forked bacterium, got to work, pulling damaged cells back together, and replacing missing ones with exact duplicates. Within seconds, the wound had healed. These amazing cells are actually a hive-minded colony of organisms that have dwelled inside the Gojirasaur’s body it’s entire life. Called “Organizer G-1”, this sentient collective was an evolutionary symbiosis developed as a defensive mechanism to protect the Gojirasaur’s from their dangerous life cycles. Even now, dangerous radiation molecules were entering the predator’s body from all around, but the Organizer G-1 was transforming these from potentially lethal mutagens into helpful agents designed to cause a forced evolution… Back out in the flames, the Gojirasaur continued to sprint for a hope of escape; if it could just reach the ocean. Then, suddenly, a horrible, excruciating pain shot through it’s spine. The Gojirasaur howled in pain and rage; it’s spine seemed to be undergoing dramatic structural changes. The Gojirasaur began leaning backward to roar to the sky, and was surprised as this eased the pain. The Gojirasaur looked around, and saw a whole new prospective. It was standing fully erect. It’s hips, legs and spine had re-engineered themselves to allow the Gojirasaur an upright stance. But there was no time to further examine, as the flames were drawing still nearer. A sudden burst of fire grazed the Gojirasaur’s back with flames. While Organizer G-1 immediately repaired the burns, the radiation brought in was being converted into more helpful mutations. The Gojirasaur continued to move as fast as possible through what was left of the jungle, but was surprised as it looked at it’s own tail; where a small row of jagged bumps made of bone were growing forth. Suddenly, there was a massive burst of fire just below the monster’s feet, and the flames licked upward around his body, charring his skin. But as Organizer G-1, stimulated by the radiation, quickly regenerated his skin, it did not regain it’s previous color, but maintained the charred, grey coloration. Totally consumed in radiation, the beast screeched as a number of mutations wracked it’s body, and it was consumed by unconsciousness. |

Who needs Toho Kingdom anyway? I'm a member at Monsterland Forums! Stick that in your pipe and smoke it! I find the term "Zombie" to be offensive. I prefer to be called Vitality Impaired. Jerry's Frags: 17 | |
