In May of 1998 Godzilla, the "American" Godzilla film, was released in theatres. Despite the fact this movie made nearly $400 million worldwide in earnings it was(and still is) generally regarded as a "flop" by film critics and widely assailed, even blasted, by the majority of kaiju fans(not all but most I think). It is, I think, an entertaining monster movie, but I do not really consider it a Godzilla movie. Discuss your take on this movie, whether it's good or bad. Talk about the American Godzilla movie here. :) |
