I definitely preferred  the overall "feel" and the music for the second season episodes of the original Star Trek series.

The 1st and 2nd seasons were both excellent, in my view. When the 3rd season rolled around the quality seemed to dip a bit and some of the plots were kinda cheesy (ex. "Spock's Brain"). Oh, and just for the record, I absolutely cannot tolerate either of the Mudd episodes, "Mudd's Women" and "I, Mudd". Couldn't stand the character and I thought the plots were just straight up boring.

Here's an excellent episode: "The City on the Edge of Forever" (1st season), starring Joan Collins and written by Harlan Ellison. A solid time-travel episode with a riveting plot.

Oh, one more thing. I'm gonna have to change my favorite Trek babe to Linda Park from ENTERPRISE. She's fine...
