Actor Glenn Ford has died. He was found at his home. There was no immediate word on the cause of his death. He was 90. For more details regarding his passing go to www.msn.com(under "Entertainment"). I have always enjoyed Mr. Ford's films. He conveyed a quiet dignity and oft focused, though never threatening, intensity to his characters, which were mostly protagonist. Among my favorites starring this acting icon: 1. The Courtship Of Eddie's Father(1963) 2. Torpedo Run(1958) 3. The Fastest Gun Alive(1956) 4. Midway(1976) 5. Superman(1978) I hope Turner Classic Movies will pay tiribute to this marvelous actor, posthumously, by showing a marathon of his best films. For those of you who have never seen Glenn Ford at work, I hope you will take the time to rent some of the movies he stars in, or catch them on TCM. I think you'll be glad you did. May he Rest In Peace. :( |
