I also liked the cast, including Kyle McLachlan, Patrick Stewart, and Gordon Sumner, aka Sting. thumbs up Don't forget Max von Sydow as Dr Kynes. B) Indeed. I always wondered how the effects staff pulled off the rendering of the worms in Dune(1984). According to the descriptions by one of the characters in this film(played by Dean Stockwell) these worms ranged in length from 100 meters(the smallest ones) to the true leviathans that measured in excess of 450 meters.
