Perhaps this is better suited for the animation forum, but being that we're fast approaching Halloween, I thought this might be the best place to discuss the film/DVD. I actually never saw this film that I can recall, until I was well into my 20s! I think this is a solid entry from Rankin & Bass, perhaps best known for their Christmas specials. In this film, you have Baron Von Frankenstein deciding to call together the members of the, World Wide Organization of Monsters, to discuss his retirement, he horrifies the members when it's announced his very nerdy nephew, Felix will be taking over the organization. We have all the classic creatures in this animated classic.....The Creature, the Creature's wife (voiced by Phyllis Diller!), Dracula, the Wolf Man, Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde, the Mummy, the Invisible Man and even a Creature From the Black Lagoon kind of beastie. Lots of innocent fun and one film I always make room for during my October horror fest. Mr Green |
