Wow, my dad turned me onto War of the Gargantuas too! Actually he introduced me to a lot movies. I attribute my love of film to that man. He's the best! Indeed, my father helped me take a liking to these films. Years ago(late 80's and early 90's) stations like TBS(and even AMC) would show these monster flicks, and I would watch them with my father, that or the Atlanta Braves(he was an unwavering Braves fan). In regards to the latter I am glad he lived long enough to see the Braves win their first(and unfortunately only) World Series, in 1995. I watch these movies in small part, to honor the memory of my father.
