The Stand, in it's unedited form is extremely long, well over 1000 pages, but I swear, it's the kind of story that draws you in and you really feel as if you're standing there, just out of sight, watching everything that's taking place. Great film and one I'd easily recommend. I have read, It, but I've never sat through the entire film or was it mini-series?

My Supervisor was a huge Koontz fan and I ourchased him a few of his books as Christmas gifts, but never read any, myself, I'll definitely look into those suggestions, thanks!

I also love Clive Barker's, Books of Blood, I believe it's that collection of stories that has the short story, Rawhead Rex.
